Is Kindred a good villain or (ironically) is it too early to tell at this point? Do you think he'll have any presence outside of comic books? Cartoon appearances?

feel like it's too early to tell

Kindred is a garbage mystery box. He only exists to drum up debate on his identity. At the end of the day once the mystery is gone and he's beat he has no reason to to come back

So far everything about him is kinda bad, from design to personality, being mysterious is not an excuse for those flaws.

this, mystery box villains in comics never live up to the hype

This. He's Marvel's Hush.

>mystery box villains in comics never live up to the hype
What about Crime Master?

> he has no reason to to come back
I'd rather have a one and done strong villain than a shitty villain milked for years on end.

I'd be okay with him if he lives up to expectations and NEVER comes back, but lets face it some hack will revive him in a decade and drive him into the ground

Can't wait for the Kindred sequel that introduces a NEW Kindred only for 50 issues later it turns out to just be the same person as old Kindred.

Wait til you meet the Kindred family.

Which family? The actual family with Son of Kindred? Or the fake family that saw kindred on the news one time and decided they were his family?

This is all just speculation and irrelevant until we actually know who the fucker is. If they really wanted to milk the mantle after whomever it is, they could just have a group of centipede people that refer to themselves as "Kindred". Kind of like how Vermin is now plural

He's nothing more than JJ Abrams "mystery box" bullshit. NOTHING they reveal him to be can live up to the hype they want us to feel.

Except Kindred has already been milked despite being a nothing

You can't say a villain has been milked before he's even done anything yet.

>Pete, we can't do this forever, Pete
>That's why I'm going to revive Sin Eater and have him stall for me even more Pete
>This is why I'm going to raise SOMEONE ELSE ENTIRELY after you've kinda slowed Sin Eater down, Pete! WE CAN'T DO THIS FOREVER!

He's been in the background for the entirety of this run, he barely did anything until he revived Sin Eater and the only arc that's focusing on him is the one coming up after Sins Rising.
How's that milking?

If this has anything to do with the OMD deal I'm speculating Sin-Eater is a pawn/bargaining chip to entice Mephisto. Maybe Mephisto deals in sins as he does with souls. Stan is a walking sin bank right now

Now are these Kindred interdimensional too

Yes, they are centipede totems that feast on the corpses of people that spider totems let die.

Well, he's not actually done much, but we will FINALLY see him in action soon.

We don't even fully understand what he can do yet

>once the mystery is gone and he's beat he has no reason to to come back
Not unless this is Marvel trying to revamp Spidercide. Then we have a good reason.

NOW we're thinking like Marketing.

Knull technically has done a bunch of shit via retcons. Apples and oranges

Knull HAS done shit via retcons

So, he hasn't done anything but they said he did?

You could say that

I hate villains like these. I always expect to get Red John'd at the end.

This is the real answer. He's a mystery box, for now. He can go on to become a genuinely good villain though. Green fucking Goblin was a mystery box at first.
Not that he'll ever be Norman level or anything, but still. Just making a point.

>Red John'd
What does this mean, user?

Have you ever seen The Mentalist, user?

No, can I get a quick rundown?

I like his design and concept, with the whole centipede shit and centipedes hunt spiders, etc..
