Yeah, DC is fucked.
Yeah, DC is fucked
And here I thought TV would of slowly simmered out for a couple more decades. It's going a lot faster than I would have betted on.
Why?
How in the fucking hell does a pandemic negatively impact the entertainment industry? People are forced to stay inside and watch shit and you end up losing money? You've got to be a special kind of stupid to be that bad at business.
If everything we've been reading about Hollywood in the last two decades is for real, then that doesn't come as a surprise.
AT&T owns DC. They will start cutting more DC jobs.
With all the millions and billions of dollars these companies make I don’t understand how they could be losing so much money.
that includes Cartoon Network right? because it should
because those millions and billions of dollars are not tangible assets but are instead imaginary money
This explains a lot ty op
They spend what they've made the year before very quickly, American companies don't like keeping reserves.
It's also helps that laying off workers is so easy in America.
I didn’t think of it but does this include Cartoon Network?
corporations have terrible foresight and literally never have any good futureproofing
"rest of Warner Media" might include Cartoon Network too because it's part of that unit
t.poor wageslave
Here are Warner Media's brands according to wiki
Hopefully Coronachan lasts long enough to kill the movie theatre industry
We are so fucjed.
Burn it all down
I like HBO max, hope it doesn't get axed.
Making shows is hard now. But making comics isn't... Still this is At&t and they just look at number and don't think
>American companies don't like keeping reserves.
Silicone valley companies do. Apple is sitting on billions of unused cash
AT&T would deserve to collapse if they can't keep the comic side going
Yeah, but social distancing while MAKING said shows is kind of a bitch.
I understand why t&t doesn’r want to have anything to do with DC, but why the fuck would they sell Crunchy Roll? Isn’t CR like one of the few profitable companies they own?
To think animation could be flourishing right now if most people including dumbass execs didn’t think they were just for children
tfw the animaniacs reboot will probably suck now
>Cartoon Network gets budget cut
>axes the most expensive show they produce
Primalbros im scared
I was going to mention the Vic Mignogna controversy but then I remembered that was just Funimation, not all of anime dubs/subs.
I imagine people are getting pretty sick of "localization" in their anime translations and are just going to pirate sources to circumvent that.
>primalshit is axed
Happy ending in my book
