The real Odin got eaten by a giant wolf

>real Odin

See, your problem is that you've forgotten that Marvel is its own story-telling Universe that can make its own internal rules and lore. Dumbass.

Odin is Santa Claus

& Gandalf

>real Odin
If he's real, maybe go ask him?

Yeah man just walk right into Valhalla and ask him, anyone can do it. It's not like you have to prove your worth as a warrior first.

Marvel does just makes him a strawman for "Muh Patriarchy". If they studied the Eddas they'd know his power comes from the feminine.

Now in terms of Odin and magic, yes he is tied to magic and seidr. In the literature and what we know his actually makes Odin look "unmanly" and this sentiment is reflected in Lokasenna when Loki says to Odin: "They say that with spells | in Samsey once Like witches with charms didst thou work; And in witch's guise | among men didst thou go; Unmanly thy soul must seem."

In short Loki tells Odin that he knows he works with the spells and charms of witches and tells him he is unmanly for doing so since magic was considered womens work. Now there were cases that there were male seidr but they could outcast/outlawed as an argr/nithing for engaging in unmanly activities. That said there may of been communities that had more respect for their craft and tolerated their presence but we have no way of knowing completely what would allow tolerance of magic practiced by men because there were even communities that did not tolerate magic at all.

Why do people get so upset when I describe Lokasenna as a rap battle? How else do you characterize this?

a literal poetry slam but that probably also annoys people

Nah that didn't happen. Jews just rewrote history again.

Chuds be like: JEEEEEEEWS?

You're thinking of Dennis Hopper.

What's really funny about this is that you probably have next to fucking nothing to do with norsemen, or their culture. You're a fucking irish mutt, you hold another culture in the highest regards, potentially even stealing some iconography for yourself.

But these stories are far more sophisticated and have more soul than you could ever dream of.

shows you how weak and pussy the Norse gods are compared to the badass Greek Gods

Even Marvel comics greek gods are more powerful and more interesting then the Norse gods.

They decided Thor needs to be Guardians Of The Galaxy and completely destroyed the franchise.

They were literally inbred retards, who acted on nothing but pure instincts (or feelings), like animals.

Zeus is a fuckboi.
Plus all that Buttstuff.

is that why Hercules barely shows up in comics while Thor has had an ongoing for like 60 years

came here to say this.

we see you chudchan

The real Odin is supposed to be a mortal but I speak with the presumption that Thor fans actually know something about Norse mythology.

Marvel Herc might as well just be a walking dildo for She-Hulk.

More liek lard wizard
