This movie kinda tackle a very interesting point: how these hero and villain deal with the expectation people have on them and how that affect their life choice.

We should also remember that Metro wants to be normal, so that may play into it too.

You could also argue that he probably has super hearing, being a Superman parody, and he didn't hear them talking right outside the bathroom. But that would've ruined a joke that didn't impact the story.

Reminder that this movie is far better than Shrek 2, despite not making even a third of what that film grossed at box office.

Yeah, but that was Disney. Dreamworks made Shrek 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2, and even HTTYD 2 was only mediocre and forgettable, so I could see them handling a Megamind sequel at least decently well.

Shrek 2 and Dragon 2 are both shit ( for totally different reasons ) Total step backwards from the first films ( i didn't love Dragon 1, but still liked it )
