>hows it going clearing the backlog?

Im currently reading the saga of swamp thing for the first time, I enjoy it but I just don’t understand whats going on with Dennis and Lizabeth, I would say im also reading omega men but dropped it due to the god awful dialogue and plot progression and I finished animal man vol 1, Miracle man vol 1, Titans by Johns Vol 1, I should maybe animal man to the 3x3 I enjoyed it a lot. My backlog is still full lmao.

>what are you currently reading?
Planning on rereading Siegfried and Bone.
>what did you finish reading?
Prison Pit and The Bus
>hows it going clearing the backlog?
Pretty decent so far, just upgraded my bookcase. I still plan on buying a bigger set up for my comics though.

OP here, am I missing something with Dennis and Lizabeth in the saga of swamp thing?

Idk, it’s been awhile since I read it. So my memory of the story is a bit hazy.

Dennis and Liz are leftover characters from Pasko's run. They were part of the crew with Matthew and Abby.
>what are you currently reading?
Starstruck by Elaine Lee. It's alright so far.
>what did you finish reading?
I recently finished Zenith. I was mostly bored for Phase 1 and 2, but it gets better in Phase 3, and peaks when Morrison goes full Moore in Phase 4.
>hows it going clearing the backlog?
I'm trying, but there's so much to do and so much to read.

>>what are you currently reading?
Punisher by Ennis
>>what did you finish reading?
Green Lantern by Ron Marz
>>hows it going clearing the backlog?
Good, I find many stuff

Im not really reading a whole lot of anything at the moment. Backlog is well caught up though. At least in so far as anything I actually care about.

Whats their backstory or atleast worth in swamp things cast in a nutshell?

>>what are you currently reading?
The Tick. Absolutely love it, as I expected I would.
>>what did you finish reading?
Alan Moore’s Supreme. Also adored it.
>>hows it going clearing the backlog?
Pretty well. Haven’t had much free time to really get any new recommendations anyway.

Also, might as well give a 3x3 of my favorite characters.
Yes I know 2 of them aren’t Zig Forums.

Ok Zig Forums rate my taste.
>>what are you currently reading?
Nothing right now
>>what did you finish reading?
An Embarrassment of Witches, I do not recommend it.
>>hows it going clearing the backlog?
I don't really have a backlog. I just binge watch/read whatever captures my interest

Which Rocketeer collection do you own? The complete adventures or the complete adventures?

I love anything by Jason and David B., and From Hell is sometimes my favorite comic. I don't really read horror anymore.
Special Exits caught my eye.

It is worth the read. It is probably my favorite due to parrells I experienced in my own life. It is heartbreaking but comforting at the same time.

I'll be sure to give it a read.
Going back to your grid, it seems like the middle section is horror, the bottom row is autobiographical, but what's the top row exactly?
I remember Why Are You Doing This? involves a murder, but what about In Search of the Unicorn?

I got a bunch of stuff I need to get into.
>Bone
Read only the beginning and never read the conclusion.
>The Gingerdead Man
The movies are ugh but the art of the comics look decent. The titular character looks much better in comic form.
>I Hate Fairyland
I seen it a few times here and the premise sounds interesting.
>The Mask
I know what pretty much happens in the comics but it be nice to own and read through.

The top row is endings that have a similar lasting impression.

I don't know that Moore had much planned for them. Dennis was a "psychic" psychiatrist and worked for Sunderland and Liz was a journalist that was investigating the deaths of Alec and Linda Holland. They became allies of Swamp Thing, Matt and Abby against Sunderland.

>what are you currently reading?
Watchmen, Battle Angel Alita, and JoJo part 8. All good but Alita doesnt really grab me and I wont revisit it.
>what did you finish reading?
IDK, The Arrival probably
>hows it going clearing the backlog?
Alright. More invested in playing the video games I own then trying read really but I'm getting back in the groove.

>They made Gingerdead Man comics
Wow and I thought the sequals were too much

They even made a crossover comic with Killer Bong

Does this mean we will see more of Charles movies doing comic crossovers?

>Read only the beginning and never read the conclusion.
You should really get around to that, bone is great.

I don't know. Isn't the first time Full Moon films had comics made such as Demonic Toys, Toy Man, and Puppet Master, I think. I don't know but be interesting.
I definitely should. Loved Bone when I first read it. Amazing how long I gone without reading the rest.

I really love these kinds of threads. My only issue is that trying to find a recommendation from some of the 3x3 is fucking impossible. Example what is the middle picture in this 3x3?

I have no chart but here are my recommendations.
>Godzilla in Hell
>The Boys
>Happy!
>Invader Zim
>Johnny the Homicidal Maniac

The Adventures of Tintin, specifically from the Destination Moon album.

You really only have to ask, I'm sure someone would have been happy to answer.

Quite specifically I might add

>Alita doesnt really grab me and I wont revisit it
Same happened to me. This was long before the movie, and I had already attempted Aqua Knight.

How far'd you get into Alita, because the best stuff is towards the second half.
