Despite being involved in key elements of the Frozen 2 plot, such as their conflict with Arendelle, Iduna secretly being one of them and, perhaps most importantly, Elsa deciding to stay with them in the Enchanted Forest, we don't really learn much about the Northuldra.
In fact, besides providing some exposition, they hardly participate in the story of the film.

Considering that, do you think the Norhuldra are worth further exploration and involvement in a sequel, or should the franchise just move on from them?
How do you think this hypothetical sequel should deal with them based on how prominent their presence ends up being?

I hope we learn more about them in the prequel novel, but I don't really care too much for wanting them to play a major role in Frozen 3.

They are a boring addition in my opinion
I hope F3 takes the plot far away from the Enchanted forest, so they at most get a cameo at the start and that's it

Why would you choose to base a people off of the huldra? What's next, southernskinwalker tribe?

I agree

Yeah, they really don't do much.
I'd be open to them playing a major role if there's some cool new lore related to them but I honestly can't see them becoming an interesting group of characters.

I guess it would be nice to find out more, but I doubt we will. They had a big musical number cut in Frozen II already, and the producers signed a contract to portray them in a “sensitive” way. So it’s safer for them the less screen time they have.

Give them a book or a comic, but I really don't want to see them take too much screen time in a sequel.
They had their chance, they were boring, time to move on.

Of all the characters they meet in the Enchanted forest, the only one I'd like to see return is Mattias and that's it.
Even Honeymaren, for as much as she's been meme'd for almost a year, barely did anything of significance.

I think Honeymaren is guaranteed to return just because of her popularity among the fanbase

Cute girls but that's about it

If popularity was that important Hans would have had a triumphant return in F2

Yes, that contract pretty much sealed their fate, it must be a pain to write around cultural sensitivity

Hans will return, user.
Have faith.

I wanna bury my face on Anna's hair

>Kristoff gets to wake up next to this every day

Looking forward to it!

They can make Honeymaren and Ryder part of the story by simply having them be in Arendelle for whatever reason when the movie starts and then they just tag along for the adventure.

At some point they'll have to show what Elsa's job in the forest is, whether via comic, novel or short, and then they'll have to develop them a bit further, since they're now the people Elsa deals with on a daily basis, I imagine.

My headcanon is Elsa just sleeps there and then commutes every morning to Ahtohallan to binge watch memories

>since they're now the people Elsa deals with on a daily basis
I assume this too, but it’s another no-win situation. Either she interacts with them regularly, in which case both the audience and Elsa have been done a disservice by not learning more about them, or she just meditates alone in Ahtohallan every day, in which case what the fuck?

Elsa is long gone, user
What if Ahtohallan ends up having a cuter personality than Elsa once it gets more comfortable in its new vessel? Would you be ok with Elsa being gone forever then?

Only if it falls in love with Anna.

>Ahtohallan-Elsa falls in love with Anna
>It's not incest because she's a different person and her blood has been replaced with spirit jelly
Hahaha... yes... YES!

>fine, I guess I can attend for a few hours in order not to raise any suspicions

I really wish they made the Northuldra more mythical and elfish. Now smooth brains just think they're just native american stand-ins. It's not subtle at all, Disney.

The hidden folk, basically their counterparts from the Frozen Broadway musical were much more cooler.
