No Carol at launch
Everything
No long single player campaign with story resolution. No cosmetic individual customisation pieces to grind for, or single player roaming planets. No option to replay campaign.
Single player part was good, shit just should have been 20 hours longer.
Cow tools.
Greedy Suits wanted to milk the licence for as much cash as possible after seeing Destiny and made the devs add and change the entire game to suit it as a GaaS Late into production. Which is why all the multiplayer stuff feels barren and like it doesn't fit well with the game
You can see how much soul is in some of the game, Golden Acres alone is full of bits of lore and story and detail, like Tony’s grandma building flying machines, his uncle being Air Force, whole family obsessed with flying etc. There’s even a package from Riri just sitting there.
It’s really shitty it was obviously forced into the Destiny box when it was made for single player.
It's a shame, there is a really fun game in there, buried under the rough. Hulk and Ironman are an absolute joy to play as. Combat is fun, and the elements on gear along with syncing up Positive/Negative charge damage adds some good teamwork and building to the mix.
There is just no content. I'm in the same hallways fighting the same enemies over and over. The two pieces of content they've added since launch, Elite and Mega Hives, are both single-player only, which is fucking baffling. On the chance you get an exotic, a large majority of exotic gear is underpowered and shit. I got a fucking Precision Ranged exotic on Hulk. Terrible.
They made a loot game where the loot was meaningless and boring.
The game went about the most boring way of doing everything.
>>Get the band back together plot.
>>AIM is just robot minions.
>>Fighting in underground mech facilities for every mission.
Like, they say that they are bringing in more characters, but what's the point if it's just beating up the same bland robots?
They've also said each character is coming with new villains and enemies.
Creating this thread when existed first.
So they haven't added the Hawkeyes yet, have they?
It blows my mind that they don't have the cosmetic store stocked with comic costumes people would actually buy. Wasn't this intented as a live service scam? THEN WHY DIDNT YOU STOCK THE STORE WITH CONTENT PEOPLE WOULD WANT? It's surreal seeing greed so bad that it reaches this level of incompetence. I look at the costumes, and they all look like off-brand Avenger knockoffs.
As for the gameplay itself, its repetitive, the gear sucks, and there's no real incentive to keep playing. That's not even addressing the bugs
Kate is at the end of the month, Clint is next month.
>Post game/multiplayer content is the same 3-4 locations
>interiors are the same 4-5 rooms and hallways
>make the extremely LONG and CHALLENGING locations single player only and NO save points in case the buggy game crashes or fails to load enemies properly
>meaningless loot that has no real advantages over one another
>loot doesnt change the appearance of characters
>costumes are boring reskins to make it look like there's a lot
>microtransactions are cosmetic nonsense like takedowns (where it chooses from a pool of multiple ones anyways), palette swap costumes or player banners that you see for literally 30 seconds in a loading screen
When fucking Fortnite has a better roster and more characters than your AAA Avengers games, you've fucked up somewhere.
I don't know if they thought the content they had would be enough to last for 2 months or Chadwick dying pushed BP plans on the backburner but it fucking sucks.
I just want to smash enemies with my friend who plays the game too but we can't even do that because of the bugs/endgame content is single player only
the cosmetic store is the most baffling thing ever.
Did they think people would pay $12 so that thor can throw a man in a 2 second animation?
Did they think people would want a random comic cover as their banner?
What the fuck were they thinking with monetization on the game?
Well the whole
>we have ideas for content, skins, storylines etc. for YEARS!!!!
Okay. Have you thought about current endgame? Ng+? You know.. things people expect pretty much at launch?
>.... how about you can buy over 20 SKINS!!!?
There’s like 2 skins per character with 5+ recolors. I know it’s hard coming up with costumes. It’s not like you have 50+ years of ideas just lying around..
I need them to get past AIM already.
I understand that it takes time to undo a corporation that took over global security after A Day, but I'm beginning to hate seeing hexagons.
I told a friend today that compared to Destiny, the Avengers are well past D2, but the world around them feels like a single enemy race loaded with units who have access to all status attacks, and where the different planets have different aesthetics, here it's just go through bland environment until you get to yellow AIM buildings, find the elevator, and ride it where it takes you until you get to the end.
Post A-Day and the campaign feels like 5 years later in Endgame before Scott shows up.
Meanwhile the baddies, enemy units, and macro rogue diversity feels somewhere between Iron Man 1 and 2.
I appreciate CD putting in the work on the Avengers, because each one of them feels so much better with all abilities unlocked, and they could have been soo much blander had they not put in the work, but as good as they may be, the work around them needs more work made more robust more than I need more characters to immediately play.
>knock off mcu
>horrible modok design
>ruined comic accurate costumes for realism
look what they did to thors classic costume it looks like a fucking joke
The whole thing feels like they hired a guy behind a phone game. You ever see the outrageous prices in shit like DC Legends for characters/skins/currency? It's ridiculous.
And you're right, no one is buying banners, animations, ANYTHING besides costumes (if that!). And speaking of, what fucking bullshit is that locking takedowns behind a store like that? Oh and lets talk about the units store on the chimera for a sec; it's all crap, and units are incredibly tedious to farm for. The shit doesn't even rotate content!
>loot doesnt change the appearance of characters
That's a good thing. I don't want to look like I'm playing WoW back in 2006.
That shit was clearly top-down mandated at the last quarter. They chopped up what they had, did a bunch of recolors of their already shoddy costumes, and hoped for the best as they desperately struggle to fix the outsourced coding they farmed out when the shift to multiplayer came down.
Yeah everyone is sick of AIM. At least throw HYDRA in to spice it up. Oh and Im sure people are sick of fighting Abomination and Taskmaster by now, neither of which are compelling I might add. They're just health bars with no strategy where teams just mob on until they die.
I question if that data mined DLC ever comes out. They have voice lines for She Hulk, War Machine, Carol, and so on but a few post that I question will ever get support. Oh and here's War Machine by the way
They put Spiderman in the game but he's not even fucking playable.
Why spend 2 months putting out the same character twice?!
>sick of fighting Abomination and Taskmaster
Oh, don't forget, user. They aren't actually Abomination and Taskmaster. They're clones of them. :^)
Honestly though, I don't mind them that much, especially since I'll sometime run two missions where I fight two versions of one of them back to back.
I mind two of the 6 campaign bosses being big generic machine I have to destroy more than actual characters.
From what I understand they play differently. Kate has a teleport while Clint has a sword.
Post that Hawkeye mask concept art.
Is this a new ebin may may?
Kamala's annoying. Oneyng was right on the money when he broke down how overly dramatic she talked
GaaS always have a slow burn to them. That being said I'm hoping because the Marvel and Avengers IP is so huge that Crystal Dynamics pulls a Star Wars Battlefront II like EA did and actually reworks and fixes the game to make it actually good and not abandon it like Anthem
Damn.. Miles really let himself go
>rushed out
>too grindy
>kamala is cringe
>go for cinematic/realistic style but don't have the MCU stuff so it comes off as great value avengers
>I hear a lot of Deadpool in Nolan North's Ironman
the creative team decided to include zoomer meme ms marvel progressive replacement as a main character, instead of the historical 60 or so characters that had every reason to be in the game in her place.
Think that just shows the game was made by people that don’t actually enjoy/respect the avengers mythos, so of course it was shit
>At least throw HYDRA in to spice it up.
That would be cool. Part of my concern about SHIELD having gotten screwed out of A-Day is that with it rebuilding now, you can't do the Hydra infiltrated plot, unless Fury is in hiding because he is doing a "Secret Warriors" and the Avengers will be brought in down the line to help him.
Honestly, I get that you want to have a Forest level. Why is there one in the Pacific Northwest, when you also have one in Scandinavia for Thor? I thought Kamala and Hulk went looking for Tony there in the demo because that's where he'd be, but no. You find him in the desert. Hulk needs a Desert level, but we also need two snow levels?
If the double forest/snow options were different enough, I wouldn't mind them but they aren't.
What I've really enjoyed is the missions run in New York. a lot of comics take place in cities, so if we're doing duplicates, why not have another or those?
SF is fucked post A-Day? Not only would that make for a cool map, but it'd be a city, while still being different than NYC. I just wish the maps felt less like the worst part of "open world" maps that are primarily empty between oases or stuff you can interact with.
