True adherents of that faith automatically treat your family as normal people. Plus a decent chance for similarly-aligned gods.
It even gets hilarious in practice. If you’re with a god like St. Cuthbert who’s “bash ‘em in the head with me shillelagh” good, and encounter adherents of a similarly stalwart semi-militant faith like Pelor, it’ll be like a street brawl as Cuthbert’s folk gather around you and start swinging for the Pelorites. For added humor the DM can have something like a guy who throws the first punch shout “Oi, nobody says that to my cousin’s best friend’s sister’s brother in law!”

If bloodlines could create hybrids with all the benefits of both their parents, why would any kingdom be some pureblooded race, then, like humans or dwarves or elves or whatnot? The lineages would've logically crossbred their pedigrees out of existence for children that gain all the intelligence of elves with all the constitution of dwarves, etc.
The only explanation is that half-breeds cannot breed themselves, which is why racial lineages persist en masse.

According to vikings, all great men are born from mixing with Elves. Only losers are pure human.
Tolkien Orcs are the corrupted descendants of Elf and man, or at least that’s what Christopher finally decide they are. Tolkien himself did assign decent traits to Orcs in the subtext, and its implied that most of their race is just farmers as the antagonists are just the soldiers.
Also the TES Orcs are Elves, and Warcraft Orcs are creations of the same progenitor race that made almost everyone else.
Warhammer Orcs originally had females and clans of Orc/human hybrids until 40k fucked it up with the mushroom ape bullshit. Blood Bowl kept them both though.

Not true, actually. Humans have trouble breeding with a handful of stuff. Whereas a dragon could fuck a tree and probably make a viable offspring. These rules are super fast and loose, though. So no one really follows them anymore and they just assume most anything can fuck and make babies with most anything else. Classically, for instance, humans and goblinoids couldn't breed. But that's changed as times have gone on.
Obviously, though, what series or system or myth structure we're talking about also changes things heavily.

Not necessarily. That sort of crossbreed sterility as a result of hybridization isn't as common as you might think. A lot of species crossbreed and create viable children. Also, on top of that, it's not impossible for a mule to come out non sterile. Just rare.
