What are your hopes for the rumoured Ben Solo/Kylo Ren series? The sequels were shit, but I think Kylo was the one saving grace and the only good new character. Rey, Finn and Poe can die in a fire for all I care.

It's obviously gonna be animated since Adam Driver's done with the role.

Also, what animation style would suit it best?

I don't know OP. If it follows the Kylo Ren comic, then there might be one or two scenes worth watching. Or if it focuses on his time at Luke's new Academy maybe.

The Sequels are a millstone tied around the franchise's neck. The closer any product gets to them, the worse received it will be. It's not even entirely the ST's fault. The Aftermath books pretty much ensured that everything after RotJ would be utter shit. Say what you want about the dumb shit from the old EU, at least it didn't make you feel like it was for nothing.

I think Kylo Ren's unanimously the only thing a lot of people liked about the ST. I think it will cover his whole life story, or at least I hope.

Yeah, the EU got wacky at times, but so far had a much better and more unique story told after Return of the Jedi.

Yeah, Aftermath was a complete shitshow. Rae Sloan was a mary sue.

Fuck that, his character development was bipolar at best, he keeps switching whenever a penny drops, and ends up like a chump

Clone Wars fixed prequel Anakin, so anything's possible.

What's left to do with him? There's a time gap between when he bailed on Luke and when he became Kylo Ren proper, but that was more or less covered by the Kylo Ren comic series. I know this is a common issue with Star Wars and has been for decades, but sometimes it's better to just leave shit alone instead of trying to milk any possible detail out of it.

I never really felt that way. He's just more heroic, complete with the world's most generic sounding hero voice. The Clone Wars is a fun show on its own merits, but it doesn't "fix" the prequels or make them better in any real way.

They milk the OT timeline all the time. I'm gonna get shit for this, but I'm sick of Rebels vs Empire or OT timeline stories told all the time.

At least Ezra isn't the kid from Resistance.

I know, it's starting to get boring as fuck. The Cassian Andor series is completely unnecessary in my opinion.

Nah, Anakin in the Clone Wars was just the Anakin during thefirst 30 minutes of RoTS, spanned into a show, I do wish there was more of it in the actual movies, but almost all of that was set up

I REALLY hope they don't ruin Revan by making him a girl. But they're pushing male Revan merchandise, so maybe they won't.

Maybe the Kenobi series might have some good flashbacks.

And while I'm mentioning High Republic, I will give it some credit: They apparently changed some of the character designs and the opening crawl to be less cringe inducing, so I honestly can't say how many items on this board have been scrubbed off since its first release.

Kylo Ren was one of the most inconsistent characters in fiction. I have no "hopes" for Disney Star Wars except that it crashes and burns and everyone responsible necks themselves.

The fact that this is all such obvious shit should give anyone pause. Why would they feel the need to write this shit down? It would be like a whiteboard for a Halloween movie including shit like "spooky shots of Michael" and "William Shatner mask."

I want Filoni or Favreau to handle it.
