Wow. People have been making the same comic for 60 years.
Wow. People have been making the same comic for 60 years
And as long as rioting thugs keep burning cities down in "protest", these comics will continue to be made.
truth is timeless
MLK was a giant libtard who was also cringe and bluepilled and not based at all and he was also a cuck and also cringe
and riots have never solved anything lol
more black men in prison than ever before
>THIS time we'll get those darn racists! It can't backfire THIS time!
He didn't write his own speeches desu
people are shitty to anti-racist activists and MLK, however he's deified now, is no exception
if the "riots" the other folks in this thread are talking about involve breaking a McDonalds window and not an actual lynching, I think people here can fuck right off
Not sure how good or bad MLK was but I wish we were still allowed to judge people by their character instead of the color of their skin as he espoused. Unfortunately liberals realized that in practice that would result in a lot of blacks' characters being accurately judged as totally reprehensible. So they pivoted to their current "being colorblind is racist because white privilege stains every interaction like original sin, so whites need to continually debase themselves" stance.
Lol
This.
>how dare you bitch about pointless destruction, they dindu nuffins look they didnt even kill nobody!
I wouldnt call being racist against whites anti-racist but ok
Except MLK never said he wanted people to be "colorblind " , he talked about equal rights. What's really sad is how people only know him for the "I have a dream "'speech. He sacrificed a lot only for racist whites to be like "Hey, MLK said you darkies are supposed to be nice to me" and SJW/LGBT people exploit his messages for their agenda.
What is judging someone by their character rather than their skin color if not being color blind?
Artist? Nice linework.
Orators generally don't
>and riots have never solved anything lol
This isn't true at all. Riots often push forward a political change due to the pressure it provides on politicians and issue awareness they raise in the population.
>Let me quote him by this line right here and pretend that's all he said and nothing else entirely
Reminder that he regretted making the speech.
Because you still bring your personal biases into it and unless you're aware of that and properly understand other people's life experiences and POVs that differ from yours, all you're doing is citing platitudes while acting like a self-righteous asshole.
Lol, moderates hate even MLK now. Who could have guessed.
>Unfortunately liberals realized that in practice that would result in a lot of blacks' characters being accurately judged as totally reprehensible.
But when we do it to whites it's unfair and I totally have a black friend, see?
They can also just as easily radicalize opposition and oppression.
I lost faith in the mainstream media precisely when NPR ran a story talking about how MLK was too christian and not inclusive enough.
>now
MLK died with an approval rating of 25%.
The cartoon is by Charles Brooks. Here's another of his.
>Riots often push forward a political change due to the pressure it provides on politicians and issue awareness they raise in the population.
Give me one example in the U.S. in the last 100 years.
>and I totally have a black friend
Why?
Stonewall riots.
I like that someone underlined non-violent for people who somehow don't get the joke.
What is funnier is conservatives trying to paint MLK as one of their own now. MLK died just as he was beginning to champion the case of ending income inequality.
>what's funny is the American left are so unabashedly and openly racist that MLK seems right-wing by comparison
But that's not funny, though.
>Riots
"Protests." The word you're looking for is "protests." A riot pushes nothing but the selfish, self-destructive aims of a gaggle of dipshits. Riots give politicians excuses. They don't put pressure on anyone but the rioters, who now have to either admit they were wrong or intensify their antics.
It is literally the dumbest thing you can do from a political standpoint.
>Uhhh the left are the real racist, when GOP run official campaign ads that have manipulated images referring to Jewish caricatures and talk about rounding up Latinos at gun point and vilify entire minority groups, that's not racist or bigoted at all!
Nuh-huh.
it's surreal how much the narrative changes
