Did thots ruin webcomics? Every other comic strip I come across on social media seems like it was drawn by the same popular white girl who's pretending to be "relatable". None of them have any humour in them. It's like the entire point is to make people go "this is me" instead of telling the joke. Do they not know that jokes are supposed to be relatable by default and relatability isn't an end in itself?

I'd say the issue is a lot of webcomics where they have the protagonist have some mental illness (typically depression or anxiety) is done without understanding the mental illness. It's done as flair or flavor, surface level nonsense.
As a point, if you seriously have anxieties and have been diagnosed and take meds for it, you're not typically gonna be all "uwu I'm so cute and quirky with my anxieties. Let me drink some mother fucking coffee that'll make it all worse!".
Most people hide that shit or down play ot by keeping it out of conversations. But the creatives of a lot of these comics treat ot like a character flaw and make light of how crap anxiety can be. Hell most self diagnosed by using dr. Google and nurse WebMD.

Id say the issues is that most people just arent funny. Women ESPECIALLY arent funny. Theres more funny men than there are funny women. There are funny women, but they are very rare.
You end up with a tidalwave of unfunny people making unfunny shitty comics with the same jokes. Just look at all the dipshits that did that same Animal Crossing joke of "haha my character in animal crossing has a great life" and then zooming out to the real world where they are poor and alone playing on their Nintendu. They are all unfunny hacks.
