I’ll give them credit for keeping it under wraps until release, but ultimately it’s just such a left field fallacy because it would suggest that the entire Ten Rings organization was fabricated just for this one eventual cover up scheme even though they’d been active in the Middle East for ages doing unrelated shit. Which of course made so little sense they had to make a whole short to retcon it, but by then it was too late.

Hear me out. Imagine if he’d played him like the cartoon version, which had just recently become the new popular rendition. Imagine Arnie, with the red goggles, talking in a creepy monotone and dishing out vengeance with ruthless Terminator style efficiency. He’d be big and menacing and a little sad, a perfect contrast to Uma Thurman’s hyper passionate Ivy. It could’ve been pure kino.
