What do you think of Shazam now? Do you like it as much?

No. It failed DCEU.
It was alright
It's an actually watchable DC movie because it copies the MCU formula.
>MCU
>watchable
I don't see the point of having Superman and Shazam in the same universe. The Shazam family should go back to being in their own part of the Multiverse.
the best DCEU movie because I kek when he did the floss!
No Mr. Mind
No Watch
I liked it. It was wholesome.
I enjoyed it.
Probably not a controversial enough movie for Zig Forums to talk about it much.
It was fun but it was a weird tonal shift because Billy acted older and more angsty and Shazam acted more like a child so it's almost like they gave the actors different scripts
Also they introduced the Shazam family a little soon but I guess the third act needed a big reveal about family or whatever.
Thirdly, the demons were all barely memorable so I would've done a little more to make them all less generic.
just because it isn't grim BvS doesn't mean it's copying the MCU
Oh no, you see: the Marvel Cinematic Universe invented comedy, and color. Lord alone knows how comics got by being so damn serious all the time before the MCU came along and got us to lighten up.
>What do you think of Shazam now?
It was good but Billy being an emo and Sivana being Luthor were bad
> Do you like it as much?
What happened now?
Which twitter said something cancelling about it?
>it was a weird tonal shift because Billy acted older and more angsty and Shazam acted more like a child so it's almost like they gave the actors different scripts
That was the point.
Billy always acted like an adult for finding his own mother, transforming in Shazam is the only way he could act like a child
But he's there in the end
DC should do period movies more, Shazam! / Captain Marvel works well as a 1940's kids adventure, in 2019, he's just weird
Love it. Surprisingly great movie for children and adults which kinda reminded me of 90s kids movies. Lighthearted and dark af at the same time. Love how they pulled through with the storyline that Billy's mom doesn't give a fuck about him and didn't give some 100% happy ending bullshit all of a sudden even though she left him purposely
Only con I can think of were some of the scenes having okayish CGI but considering the budget of this movie, it's insane what they managed to pull off
I don't think so. Shazam is pretty much timeless because the dichotomy between child- and adulthood is always prevalent
On one hand, I agree with you. On the other hand, they already have the old white demographic via batman.
not him but most of the time MCU films are good popcorn movies even if their rewatchability isn't high
So you’re admitting every MCU movie is the same
I like it. It felt like early capeshit like raimi spiderman or iron man.
>Billy acted older and more angsty and Shazam acted more like a child
It’s the same with Spider-Man though
Yeah, it's a really fun movie. Definitely one of the better DCEU offerings.
Snydercuck detected.
I liked it even better when I watched it a second time
And?
Watched it once and enjoyed it. Feel no need to watch it again, though.
Flawed in a lot of ways, but I enjoyed it. I don't even remember any of the problems I had with it while I was watching.
I loved Shazam. Felt like I was watching Gremlins.
