Remember how everyone wanted Shinji to get in the fucking robot? and by the end of movie 2.0 he gets in and rescues Rei?

Well we had a time skip in 3.0, Shinji wakes up 10 years in the future and everyone hates him because apparently getting in the fucking robot triggered the end of the world again. Not that they bother explaining that to Shinji or the audience so we are left confused and annoyed while a ton of crazy shit happens around the protagonist.

Did everyone turn to Tang and then get better?

Its clear why everyone hated him, the question is why do they assume he did it on purpose and why nobody bothers telling him he caused the third impact.

Imagine Rise of Skywalker except anime and with giant robots, it generally has the same narrative problems.

We don't know, the movie is purposely obtuse about everything that happened in the time skip.

There are survivors living in a floating fortress made out of a repurposed EVA, NERV is now somehow thousand of feet in the air, and everyone its making Evas and Pseudo Angels like there is no tomorrow.

I think most of humanity went extinct, but most if not all main characters survived and hate Shinji because he did what everyone told him to do or supported him.
And then they spent the first third of the movie not explaining shit to him and ignoring him, which then leads to Shinji bailing when Rei shows up and everyone goes "Shinji, don't go with the person that you were trying to save last movie, stay with us you fucking retard so we can continue to be shits to you" and then they get angry when he leaves.
