Was it really that bad?
Was it really that bad?
No, it's actually good. a bunch of losers that sperg out at the idea of dyed hair decided that it was actually the women who wanted to be ramona and not a million fucking losers who wanted to project her on every mildly alt woman they met and then let this assertation make them believe SPVTW wasn't good. it wasn't great but the comics, movie and game are all enjoyable.
No, it was in fact better than the comic. Art hoes can piss off, though.
It should have been a two parter. It’s blatantly obvious when they hit the part where they said “oh shit we gotta fit this all into one movie!”
It’s just that they saw Ramona Flowers and felt so empowered.
I thought it was okay, but I honestly wouldn't mind seeing it remade as a mini series. One movie was too short to pack the entire story into and I'd like to see it take more time with some of the subplots...and maybe someone other than Michael Cera playing Scott.
Justin Long should have been Scott
Yeah yeah, why don't you go and by some more BRAND for you BRAND approved "lifestyle" you amazing "non"conformist.
>Justin Long
Whatever happened to that guy? Seemed like he was in everything a decade ago
Michael Cera has the wrong energy for the role. I never saw Scott as a meek sort, in fact I felt like he was overly confident for being so average, which was part of the point in the books I think. Cera just seemed like a studio casting choice because they thought Scott was meant to be the underdog instead of the actual antagonist.
It was just horribly miscast. MEW and Cera didn't fit their characters or the energy of the movie at all and constantly dragged the whole thing down.
Scott is an aggressive jerk that copes with the mismatch between his self-perception of being a nice nerdy guy with the reality of everyone being rightly pissed at him by pretending he's a picked-on loser and memory-holing all the bad shit he's done
Justin Long was too old and not Canadian enough.
On that note, I want someone to deepfake Rick Moranis' face onto Michael Cera.
It was a bad decision in terms of accuracy but I think a good one in terms of making a satisfying seprate piece of media. Going with the shy guy Michael Cera routine worked because people tend to immediately relate to the "nice nerd underdog" archtype or at least did in 2010. It isn't what comic Scott is like at all but considering how much ground they had to cover in a short amount of time I don't blame them. Having Scott be more of an ass works better in the comics where he has more time to develop and grow.
BPD AND ECSTASY
Bad? It is want the best most absolutely accurate adaptation, but people including most SPVtW fans fucking love the movie for what it is.
>can't come up with an argument so just calls me a poser
yeesh, you guys sure are faggots about a concept that I'm sure the majority of you decided was a fact after you listened to that negativexp song. you're on a board about consuming and discussing content of which 90% is created by conglomerates. this argument is finger-pointing retard shit
it makes me so happy that NXP makes no money off of any of his music, it's so bad and he's such a wormy little fuck on social media
He is?
This.
>a single song kills a whole movie
Based
He just acts like a whiny little faggot and pretends his life is sooo fucking hard because of the horrible burden of hating women and getting no attention from music media for his songs about, surprise, hating women
To be fair, women are horrible people and deserve to be hated.
I hate this movie because now i know bread makes you fat
what do you mean by "kills", it's a fucking decade old movie that pathetic frogposters are seething about the impact of still today because they don't like when women are as desperate for attention as they are
big eyes
how many pictures of sexy comic book girls do you have on your current device
You sound mad, user. I'm sorry you like this movie. It's a shame you won't be able to talk about it anymore without the song being mentioned
Comic book girls are the same as real women?
I like the comic and movie a lot, I think I enjoy the movie more since it has so much energy to it
Comic artist tend to hate Scott pilgrim though, something about the Romona flowers being a damsel in distress and Scott being manipulative.
I honestly just think poor comic artist hate seeing comics become somewhat successful to the normie masses (yeah i know this movie bombed but it’s kind of a cult movie now)
>instead of the actual antagonist
But he’s the title character! He’s so cool and just like me!
>Noooo, that blue-haired girl from that one comic that ended over a decade is the reason I can't get laid!!
Getting laid is easy, but finding a clean woman to put children into is harder and harder to find unless you go the religious route.
I don't want my seed in poisoned soil.
>religous route
lmao
