So almost all parks are open except Disneyland.
I had no idea that Knotts Berry Farm has Peanuts characters...has anyone been there? I hear good things and I'm a huge Peanuts fan.

Mods have allowed theme park threads for five years now. Every theme park is based on cartoons.
I'm a little embarrassed that I started "visiting" some of the Disney parks through the street view on Google Maps.
I watch all the YouTubers who go just to see glimpses.
What a way to spend your 100th lol
It's very quaint. Most of the Peanuts stuff is in it's own kid area, but the characters and stuff do roam the park. It also has some pretty nifty thrill rides. That said, it suffers from the same issue as Disneyland (but worse) in that it is completely landlocked on all sides by third-party developers, thus preventing any external expansions even for things like additional parking. The park itself is also rather small in size; you could easily cover the entire park in a few hours.
Funny enough, the park area has been open as seating areas for the various food festivals they've been doing for a few months now. Savor various foods or even the famous chicken and whatnot. The only things still closed there are the rides themselves.
Do they have any dark rides? Universal Studios has the same problem. Sometimes they have to tear down some really amazing things to make room since they can't expand. Tip about me: I once spent a year in an apartment that allowed me to see Universal fireworks every night.
A couple. The only ones still running for certain were the Calico Mine Ride (take a train on a slow ride through an excavation site) and the Timber Mountain Log Ride (Splash Mountain-esque log flume ride) which both got major refurbishments a couple years back. There was one other, but it's gone through a couple of theming overhauls over the years. It was in the process of switching to a revamp of its original Knott's Bear-y Tales layout when the COVID shutdown went into effect. Barring those, most of the rides are outdoor attractions, and yeah the new stuff does come at the expense of losing older stuff. Hell, in my life I've seen one area of the park change from a soap-box style roller coaster to a dual-track racing coaster (prone to frequent breakdowns/shutdowns) to its current incarnation as a steel launch coaster.
Of special note: the aforementioned log ride usually undergoes a temp horror retheming for their annual Halloween Haunt event.
All Cedar Fair parks have Peanuts characters after they acquired Knotts, but they mostly just get scraps.
>I once spent a year in an apartment that allowed me to see Universal fireworks every night.
I guess that's nice if you REALLY love fireworks.
I live in Florida but I've never been to Disney. Is it worth it if you're a cynical prick? Pandora and Animal Kingdom look cool. I went to Universal right before the pandemic started and god I fucking love it. I need to get an annual pass to Busch Gardens again next year, I haven't been there in 2 or 3 years, used to go almost every other weekend.
One of the things I would do with my Grandma when ever my family would visit California is go the Mrs. Knott's Chicken Restaurant... She's been gone for 4 years now, I miss her.
It's pretty fun OP, though I haven't been there in a while. I hope Ghost Rider is still open at the park.
Ghost Rider is still there, yeah.
>The tunnel entrance was once part of the Pan for Gold attraction. As of May 2016, Pan for Gold has returned to its former location and the queue for GhostRider now snakes around it.
Okay, I didn't know that Pan for Gold got moved back to that area.
I was a scare actor at Knotts Scary Farm last year. AMA
Since it’s the season and all that, I have to ask; how does the Peanuts land operate during the Knott’s Scary Farms event? Is it part of the attractions or is it closed down during the events? Because from what I’ve seen of stuff like pic related, it has shit like ripped-off faces plastered to windows, and I can’t imagine parents being okay with that shit.
At night when it's more age-restricted, it becomes another one of the scarezones with it's own maze. During the day when it's more accessible to all ages, the Camp Snoopy area serves up more family friendly and kid oriented halloween stuff like activities and treat zones.
So do they keep all the gory stuff away from the area at all times or do they constantly put it back in at night?
knotts is based for coaster chads and the ghost town area is the best wild west area in any park in the us atleast if not the world
for me its Xcelerator
>tfw no scary farm this year
got any info on what was to be?
I'm more of a Universal guy myself, so I can tell you that Hollywood Studios does a better job of scratching the itch I get than the other parks do.
Animal Kingdom was also pretty nice. The Expedition Everest coaster was my highlight of that park. Pandora is neat even if you haven't seen the movie like me, but the line for the main attraction in it is attrocious.
Sea World is my favorite park. It's very adult in many ways and relaxing the way Epcot used to be.
A bit of both. They close things off early so they can prep the park for the night hours. I know one of the kiddie rides is used as a maze, so that one is unavailable during the daytime.
What's the best place in the park to smoke drugs and not get caught by security
AH, thanks, I was wondering how it worked
I used to love them. But they always ended at 10. I watched them from my balcony. It was pretty nice.
My grandfather died a few years ago. I really miss him and wish I made him know how much he's loved. Instead I was spoiled.
Nah. They are very hush hush about their mazes. Im super bummed but I might check out Taste of Halloween this weekend

Lame. Bring back Kingdom of the Dinosaurs.
