That said: the main argument for Herc NOT being Bisexual was from his Disassembled mini, where he stated he said he told even Achilles that he didn't swing that way.
But almost nobody remembers that mini existed, Ewing included, evidently.
Which is VERY uncommon for him to make such a blatant continuity error, but nobody is perfect. His continuity error score is currently at 2, with this and Songbird powers, right?

Also: Herc might have been affected by the cycle of resurrection of his pantheon

before this, there was ONE scene IMPLYING he was bisexual and another scene with him declaring not being interested in men

Do you just not read the scene? It feels like a bad comedy. There's a big huge epic fight and then everything stops dead so we can all laugh about the how the the gays are now a thing.

This is why any modern attempt at including minorities in comics feels shallow and hollow. You know any part of the story that involves them has been focus tested to hell and back to the point where it's sanitized of any actual compelling moments or interest.

The last interesting moment of marginalized peoples in comics I can remember liking was the trans character in Demon Knights. If it were written today I'd probably hate the character and book. Even this page would be considered too problematic to publish. But when I read it I loved Sir Ystin and the book and the fact that he was trans was just another part of the story that felt natural and organic.
