I think the point was that Johnny is one of those guys who tries the same tactics with every woman. IRL, it would work at least occasionally as it does for dudes who have the confidence and lack of shame to be pick-up artists, but it wouldn’t be funny to see his successes

Nah, they just try harder to crush your spirit. The easiest way to get them to stop is to literally ignore them. It's how i got through school. I got hit a lot, but they eventually stopped when they realized that there was nothing they could do that would get a reaction out of me.

I legitimately believe the best thing I've ever done in my life was a period I spent my time telling lies. Specific lies, but lies nonetheless.
