Bobby was in the house, and that boy ain't right.
No, it’s because Hank can’t aim
Probably traumatised by Cotton shooting up the living room when his football team lost or something
I'm pretty sure he did. Aside from the rifle episode, Bobby mentions them having a gun safe once.
He probably did, he's just not either a hick nor a douchebag so it didn't constitute a personality trait. No one ever broke into their home so it was never needed if he had one.
Correct
Hank believes in proper home defense. Beyond that and good ol' American pastimes such as hunting, guns have no place in his life, so it never comes up.
He sells propane.
This. Hank didn't have a gun of his own because Cotton's upbringing made him too nervous to aim one right. After the episode where Bobby discovers his talent for firearms, the Hills definately kept the rifles, because they have them in later episodes. Hank's more of a blunt force home defender anyway. He was going to thresh Dale up with a weed wacker, he keeps a 9 Iron behind the door to beat people who threaten him on his doorstep, and I'm pretty certain he or Peggy broke off the leg of an oak table to use as a club when their thought someone had broken in.
In other words, you can be a gun owner without being a gun fetishist? Makes sense. After all, notice how Hank doesn't attend Dale's gun club.
I'm pretty sure he does own a gun, he just never brings it up. Hank is an embarrassingly bad shot due to his dad giving him some emotional hangups. Same reason he never talks about sex.
This is true
That's actually canon.
I think there was a flashback showing that Cotton used to fucking scream at him when he was teaching Hank to shoot, which put him off of gun culture.
That old lady broke into their home
Also Dale tunnelled into it
And the the time they thought someone broke in but it turned out to be Ladybird scared of thunder
Hank is afraid of guns
why do you ask a question that had a whole episode dedicated to, with numerous gags also answering this?
It's also canon that Dale's aiming is shit
>Beyond that and good ol' American pastimes such as hunting
Does Hank hunt, though? As far as I recall it only came up in the episode he took Bobby hunting and he wasn't very prepared for the trip, though I know that's more because he didn't want to be around Bobby specifically, so I don't know.
I'm not saying he does it often, just that said pastime is the only occasion he'd have to be using or talking about guns.
He knows his nine iron is a much better defender than a gun.
5:35, they have a gun safe. Apparently Bobby is more familiar with it than Hank, as he had quicker access and seemed to know the combo for it as Hank wielded a golf club.
That was a fantastic scene.
Bobby is a better shot
I mean he owns a Hunting Rifle at the very least, but overall Hank seemed not a big gun guy
The Hills own at least two rifles and a handgun.
Also Hank doesn't need a gun, he just needs his foot up your ass.
They do. Bobby's hunting rifle.
The look of Hank's face when gets emasculated by his 13 year old boy
Because Guns are for Wussies.
I thought Hank was put off guns by Cotton trying to push them on him when he was a kid.
