>Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have delayed the next major updates for Marvel’s Avengers, pushing the next-gen versions into next year and also delaying the addition of the game’s first DLC character, Kate Bishop.

This game is so fucking dead. Why is it so hard to make a Avengers game?

It isn’t hard, it’s just called Ultimate Alliance

We just wanted Marvel Alliance. Thats ALL you had to do, Marvel. Fucking. Alliance

It's not. There's 3.

Which is hard to do. Raven pulled it off, the other two didn't. It's a subtle and difficult thing.

It isn't hard it all, they just went soul kike mode out the gate.

It's not hard, they just fucked it up. If they had removed the garbage crafting, the multiplayer, the loot, and cut down on probably 2/3ds of Kamala's pointless talking to herself, the game would be much much better.
They could have REMOVED a ton of stuff, and it would've been a better game.

I would hope that Marvel would learn from their mistakes and give us Marvel vs Capcom 4, but we all know that won’t happen.

>Why is it so hard to make a Avengers game?

>Make a game that isn't designed to literally become a habit like some kind of fucking drug, so there's no need to fight repetitive samey bosses that are just giant mechs and you can instead focus on familiar and fun to fight characters
How is that hard? The Arkham series did it thr- Twice. They did it twice.

Why are faceless robots the only villains

Man the expectations for this, I always felt like it was a bit too high from fans.

Live services are shit, never get your hopes up for them EVER.

>Avengers just fight robots

Who thought this was a good idea?

The fact that the first new characters are Kate Bishop and then Clint Barton, which are likely a month for each to be put in, is BEYOND brain dead! Roll out bigger and more fun names! Hell, have Wolverine be the first DLC! Just, SOMETHING beyond archer people!
The fact that arrows were somehow killing Ultron Robots in Age of Ultron bugged me so much.

They fucked up because they wanted to make this game a movie where the story just stops a few hours in and continues 30 hours later.

What they should have done is
1) Make it a variety of locations and villains. Have NYC missions fighting escaped villains, to being at Asgard fighting Asgard shit, to being in Knowhere fighting Skrulls! NOBODY likes fighting the generic robots!
2) Just let the Avengers be assemble from the get go! Nobody wants to play a mission based game if the characters get unlocked hours apart!
3) Go for a roster beyond the original movie one!

Like, this game should have been a no brainer, but everyone is so obsessed with being cinematic!

>wanna play as the Avengers
>sorry here's Kamala

Big time. I would have bought the game for all its apparent flaws if only I didn’t have to put up with her. She’s the straw that breaks the kamalas back

>Why is it so hard to make a Avengers game?
My opinion: because the Avengers have such varied powers and such disparate levels of power. I would argue that a Hulk game absolutely should not control similarly to a Captain America game, or an Iron Man game. They should be their own separate things, have separate levels or be separate games entirely. It makes no sense for Hulk and Black Widow to be brawling with the same enemies so it doesn't feel right so you stop fucking playing.

Imagine if capcom had made the game instead with the new re engine and actual soul.

All they had to do was make a non LEGO version of LEGO marvel superheroes. A free roam map with individual platformer/combat level maps with a huge roster of characters.

Kek

The problem is clearly trying to follow the Destiny model when Destiny themselves fucking struggles with player population. That's not even getting into the many other issues the game has.

>This game is so fucking dead. Why is it so hard to make a Avengers game?
Ultimate Alliance did it, three times.
The fucking facebook game did it too

Yeah, the problem isn't The Avengers and I won't let anyone gaslight me into thinking so. The problem is that the game is poorly made.

Of course it isn't the fucking Avengers.
They have a huge roster to chose from, a shitload of rogues and DECADES of material to pull from

How is three? Been thinking of getting that or hyrule warrior Def edition with the gold coins I saved up.

I hate game journalism so fucking much

This

Arkham Origins had the best bosses

Buy switch for a game which is not even similar

It's not even a bad game. The story's much better than I expected. Heroes are fun, and feel fun to play as.

There's just very little content afterwards. They made it a multiplayer service game with about half of the content it needs.
