So with that in mind, where will this plot go, how will it end, and what will the Hulk status quo be after the dust has settled? It's likely the big finale will not only include TOBA, but Thunderbolt Ross. How will Rulk enter the plot, and how will he be used? Moreover, is there something more to TOBA and the green/red doors? I asked Ewing about it at C2E2 and he confirmed the implication from #24 that that was what he was going for.
And his recent CBR interview discussed how the Red Door originates from how Red Hulk had a mix of Gamma and Cosmic Radiation. My guess is that the Red Door merely Cleanse yourself of Gamma, allowing the target to pass on.

I think you're right about the Red Door, but I don't think it really "cleanses" Gamma so much as just inhibits it. Sort of like how an addict is "clean" so long as they stop using.
