Superman has TRUNKS. Why would they put trunks on the Halloween costumes if Superman doesn't already have them. If they were trying to reference Snyder Superman then they'd have a cheap halloween version of the MoS/BvS suit which plenty exist of.
Why go out of the way to drop Metropolis/Superman, and Wonder Woman easter eggs like that if this is really going to be so self contained.
