I'm feeling shamelessly nostalgic on TMNT2K3. I saw the first couple seasons on their premiere and enjoyed the first game, but fell out from paying attention to it afterwards thanks to life getting in the way. What's fandom consensus on it? What happened in the show after about season 2 or so? Any funny or cool merchandise and stuff to come from it? Any interesting legacies from the show the way 1987 extends its shadow over the franchise?
I don't mind other incarnations being discussed or enjoyed a whit in the thread btw, go nuts on that. My own interest as OP is on 2K3 for the time being though.
I grew up watching the 80s series as a kid. I bought the DVD boxset of the 80s series for nostaliga. After Season 3, I just stopped watching it. The cornyness & puns were too cringy for my taste. TMNT 2k3 was IMO how the 80s series should have been.

Thirded >TFW you can't unhear her Ash Ketchum voice and she still makes you diamonds
I just like it for the campy humor. Not really for its action or plot driven story telling.

It's pretty good The soundtrack is fucking awful though

i liked the one they had on nickelodeon for a while...

>Thinking literally any other TMNT incarnation is any less campy

It never had the edgy. Think about it, Nickelodeon turtles killed Shredder, but the IDW turtles aren't allowed to kill anyone. So they need to rely on other characters killing their villains like Splinter killing Shredder, Leather Head killing Krang and finally Bishop being killed by his own tool. And about Shredder and Krang? They getting brought back invalidates everything. So what happens should they turn hostile? The turtles can't do anything because of their restrictions. And don't even get me started on villains like Hob.
Looks like you have a point and I concede, I just remember Raph's initial toy was a much lighter shade versus OP pic that's much deeper and wondered why. The others usually seemed much closer to the toys from what I had remembered.
James Watson
Meanwhile Shredder is Goro Majima. He also dubbed Donatello in the 80s series prior.

Pretty great for the first few seasons. Though once you hit Back to the Sewers avoid everything else like the plague unless it's Turtles Forever.
>though 87fags tend to hate it because of Turtles Forever. Why? The entire point of it was showing that the 80s show is just as valid as the 03 show. If anything the 2k12 crossover was way more disrespectful.
Mason Robinson
>Back to the Sewers I meant Fast-Forward, fuck.
Ryan Wright
I watched Turtles Forever rather late. What do you think is the aftermath of all that? How much do people remember? Are the Purple Dragons and Foot Clan going to be mostly mutants? Will they finally get a chance to get laid?
Henry Gray
Was Fast Forward really that bad? At least, it isn't Cyber Space BS and it was nice to see the turtles walking around in public.
