Besides the incredibly obvious
What shows does this apply to?
Moonbeam City
How so?
Steven universe
Homestuck
It still hurts
>Besides the incredibly obvious
This fucking show gave me a fetish for women cucking themselves, and then it cucked me out of a decent ending.
Ducktales
You gotta explain now, YOU PMAYED YOUSEKF
This.
This. Every other magical girl show on Disney feels so gay and tame in comparison to Big Dimes Star Butterfly.
Bee and Puppy Cat I'll add Bravest Warriors to it too. When they first popped up I was optimistic for CartoonHangover and the potential as YouTube as an outlet for animation boy was I wrong about that. Bee and Puppy Cat just ended up not being able to live up to it's initial pilot. The best of Bravest Warriors is pretty good but nothing special. So many people lost interest and those who stuck around witnessed the show degrading in quality both in terms or animation and writing which wasn't that great to begin with.
Amphibia is decent
damn cartoon network
Bee & Puppycat still remains one of the worst cartoons I've ever seen. I don't think it'll ever be topped because something of that low-quality would never get past the development phase on an actual network. Cartoon Hangover was trash.
RWBY
Milo Murphy's Law
shows made after 2010? maybe a hand full
>Wander Over Yonder getting a season 3
>Metalocalypse getting a final season instead of just a movie that ends on a major cliffhanger
>Sym-Bionic Titan getting more episodes and cutting out the Lance/Ilana bait
>Ducktales not being shit
>Thundercats having a good plot
other than these, there's maybe like 4 good shows and a gigantic pile of shit surrounding them
it was always meant to be shitty waifubait and Monty's overrated fight choreography. it was always going to be shit and your fantarding will never change that
This unironically.
Seasons 1 & 2 were pretty good, writing/story wise, action wise, but not so much animation & art style wise.
Then Monty got shoah'd and shit writing took over somehow. S3 had a wonderful new art style, but right off the bat, I could tell it was soulless & just completely lacking the substance it has. I wasn't eager to watch the show anymore. It's charm & promise truly died with Monty.
Your show was always shitty waifubait and was never going to amount to anything beyond that.
Now I feel like an asshole for saying that.
>writing/story wise
wow, your tastes are shit
Ben 10 Alien Force, this show could have been great.
>He has to deal with an entire population of alien terrorist trying to genocide his race
>He only has a few comrades to rely on and has to make do without his grandfather
>He also would have to juggle his schoolwork and sports team while trying to save the world
>Hundreds of humans get kidnapped and brainwashed by alien parasytes, creating a grey morality of having to either kill an innocent or spare an enemy
>The entire premise was meant to be a grown up more series version of Ben 10
And the new writers threw everything into the fucking shitter
>No stress when trying to juggle a vigilante life, free time, personal life and school
>The alien invasion is always conveniently sidelined whenever the gang has slice of life teenage shenanigans.
>Completely erases the grey morality of brainwashed human soldiers and every episode involves a montage of them beating up innocent civilians
>No PTSD or mental changes are developed in life scaring situations (E.g: Ben sees his grandfather die right in front of him, the next episodes write Ben as if it never happened)
>The Plumbers turn into an intergalactic police force, leave Earth to die, and arrest Ben for self-defense.
>The new aliens are extremely overpowered with too many gimmicks (Echo Echo, Chromastone, Swampfire, Big Schill, Brainstorm)
>No consistency in character: In a few episodes Ben would be an ice cold serious leader but then right after he'd be a dumb slob making amateur mistakes.
>Ben doesn't experiment with his aliens and has to pull the "look at this convenient new alien fit for the job" card every episode
>An entire war get's solved in 2 episodes
UA repeats the same formula however it commits the greater sin of not having an Ultimate evolution for more than 6 fucking aliens. How the fuck can you base a new show around a gimmick and barely use it reaches an entirely new level of retardation I never thought possible.
RWBY was always been shit, but first seasons under Monty had soul
Owl House
Victor & Valentino
Glitch Techs
Agreed.
B-but MUH edgy!!! MUH angst!!! MUH drama!!!
Fuck this fucking epilogue and hs^2 shit. The entire thing has become a "meta=good writing" circlejerk and the media has become so exhaustingly fucking recursive that it's lost all charm and meaning. No longer enjoyable.
It had good Animorphs vibes
The pilot was legit good and everyone loved it. I've never seen such a loud and unanimous "What the fuck happened" as we got when the series trailer came out.
