From what little a normal faggot like me knows of the comic book industry, I've seen a devolution come 2016 where in "Progressives" took over a lot of empty seats. Which I've Never really minded until recently Where in its gotten so bad that a character can die that's a female and twitter will have a bajillion Karen's going on about how the artist hates wamen which in turn ruins the potential for that story do to the kings of cape (Marvel and Dc) demanding he cave in and make the murderer of the female character and political comedy caricature and the female character a mary sue. And this in turn has made the general public move to manga and super hero movies instead And i despise that to some degree partually because i hate how manga is all in black and white its like there no SOUL!, to it and im realizing now that people will never get tired of japans black and white pages which disheartens me a decent bit. How do we fix this how do we burn the bridge beyond simping and pay pigging for Keanu reeves? Because im just now starting to realize and see how many excellent comics there are that aren't capes like super man and batman picture very much related but the general public knows more about goku and luffy than they do great books like transmetropolitan.

The problem is hollywood crushes Indie films that dont tow the line, and now with theaters shutting down that is going to be harder, so the internet is the new hope.

If you group a bunch of indies together in a community, a new industry can be born. We may have to look beyond Los Angeles for that

This aversion to black and white is stupid. A lot of the greatest comics I've come across are black and white.
Also, a lot of colorists are hacks and tend to ruin good line art.
The ideal answer is we should just get more talented people, including colorists/inkers/pencillers and people that do all the art, but a lot of times the black and white line art looks better than the "finished" product.

as far as looking to beyond la goes indie animations tend to go fairly viral at times look at nana 826763 or channels like death battle and hyuns dojo not to mention the nostalgia a good couple million have for super Mario bros z add this plus japanese animations like moses (youtube.com/watch?v=byAfC5yW_hw) being fairly viral with comments as young as 2 to 3 weeks ago despite being made near a decade ago. the issue won't be Hollywood suppressing it the issue will be Hollywood being openly racist and classist as a result of this, they're already begging for bailouts under the delusion they're a necessary industry ya add this plus the freak-out when parasite won an Oscar or two and the bull shit uzaki chan drama what's more likely to happen is the culture war manifesting into real life like its starting to now and i could only imaging if kamala or trump it'll be worse in far different ways. If kamala wins the sjws will go into their biggest power boner yet and will get so woke that this already dying industry of comics will start going way beyond nuts and may or may not devolve into comic shop owners actively kicking out non political people on a far worse scale than they are now which in turn will force most current comic readers to go the Japanese even they read both as ya should. If Trump Wins Than these same mythical woke people will go into such a stir that they'll be forced to do some actual activism namely boycotting diamond which already has a problem of being over 60% marvel and dc and that'll really fuck them up financially to a point where they'll be blowing on the street ya mix this with open racism due to manga and webtoon out performing them and that could loud to some major racism down the line now mix this plus tds which has evolved into one or more magatards getting their shit kicked in by Antifa imagine the comic makers being Antifa with all their pent up rage shits gonna be in its worst state yet for us.

Tachiyomi is how I was finally able to start reading comics. Nobody I know or work with does and comic shops are scarce in my area. Plus since it's Australia so everything is more expensive. Now that I read comics, I found myself reading less of generic gag and titty manga. It's nice.
