From what I've heard, they canned it during the WarnerMedia restructuring along with all the other Adult Swim shows with series long Hulu exclusivity. Unlike Mr. Pickles, which got a new separate spin-off so it could make the jump to HBO Max, Venture Bros.' staff was laid off during quarantine. In the midst of the initial outrage, Adult Swim has been very clear in saying it wasn't their decision. At this point I am holding out for an April Fools 2021 surprise comprised of storyboard art.
