No, but it's cool to hate popular things. You would know that if you weren't such an unpopular nerd.

No, but the art style became typical cal-arts models later on.

Also, gumball a cute. A CUTE.

Nah, still some really great episodes mixed in, but they fell into certain habits that decreased the quality of the show. They kinda started doing that thing family guy does where they explain the joke in excess, its kind of hard to put into words what I mean. Overall it was a good cartoon, but I couldn't call it great.

No

>gumball a cute. A CUTE.
this
i just want to snuggle him and kiss him and then sell him into sex slavery to a depraved old woman

ye

It wasn't bad per say but it definitely wasn't as good as early seasons, if anything it got cancelled before it could get worse.

He does cannon have a huge ass.
I have no idea where he inherited from since his mom is flat from behind according to richard.

Movie
when

No

It was almost entirely an adult show and not a kids show at that point. Way too many plots and jokes no kid would get.

When they make a made for television movie, then we will all be allowed to say it is horseshit onwards

It was really the final season that was bad. Unfortunately it suffered from a much more cynical and mocking style of humor, that wasn't going to let (almost) anyone win in the end. They lost their clever parody style and just became mean.

It's a marked change from even the end of Season 5, where they could still produce good episodes. I watched the show from start to finish, and found seasons 1 through 5 to have a 90% good rating. Whereas season 6 was usually only 5% worthwhile episodes, sadly.

There was a definite increase in the amount of stinkers later on. However, the last season and a half (the second half is season 5 is where I think the decline really got going) was mostly a fine show.

The biggest issue of the later seasons is that the crew began to overuse certain elements the show had previously been praised for; elements like the snarky dialogue, the dark, satirical style of comedy, the intially occasional shifts to other art styles, the hiding of adult innuendo, and the use of wacky faces (intially only occasionally used). By the last few episodes, those elements people used to like the show for were now the things being attacked by critics. It didn't help that, by the later season, some newet shows like the Ducktales reboot permiered that borrowed inspiration from Gumball (more specifically, the second season onwards) in terms of things like the satirical, snarky style of humor.

When did the show turn to shit???

BEFORE or AFTRER the puppet episode???

>Were the later seasons really that bad?
Yah, there would be a mega if it was that good.

It wasn't super bad, but it was a huge shift in tone, I can understand people not liking the change, I myself didn't like that. It never got downright terrible though, not enough to give up watching.

Darwin was insufferable in the latter seasons.

He became basically a 2nd Gumball

The humor and writing I think got a lot better after season 1, but I do have a soft spot for season 1's art style.

The show is unwatchable past Season 2

I love S1's art style, it was somewhat smoother, used the mixed media style more, and it didn't have the weird exaggerated faces. later seasons aren't completely unwatchable though.
also peanut penny > energy blob penny

I hate how they explain every joke and sort of slow down and talk in a deadpan voice to point out how dumb this is. Does anyone know what I'm trying to say? Kind of hard for me to put into words.

the joke that user said about gumbail the show is that they don't like how the habits of creators of the show gumball fell into comparing to the family guy show where the family guy explains the joke where they tell the joke

I hate how Gumball's personality keep changing in every episode.
Sometimes he is a cunt, some other times the nerd, some other times the bully, sometimes they all like and sometimes they all hate him.

How did this show end?

The problem with this way of thinking is that anyone can just say everyone else hates something for no reason and only because it is popular.

Complete cringe.

With everyone in Elmore being sent into a dimension where rejected ideas are locked away forever.
This is what happens when people want a shitty meme humor show without any actual direction in the humor.
