Could Eltingville work as an animated series in the 2020’s? Now that [as] is trying a bunch of different things, could the series have the potential to find new life in a post Big Bazinga Theory world?
Where could the comics go from where they left off? Would Jerry come around and return to the club, given the fact he’s still friends with Josh and Pete?
I don’t care what any gimp user says, that’s based
Dominic Jenkins
Bill’s outcome is perfectly reasonable considering the fact he was kidnapped, starved, tied to a chair and forced to wallow in his own piss and shit for days. AND his mom paid for it.
Gabriel Cruz
>Would Jerry come around and return to the club, given the fact he’s still friends with Josh and Pete? He's not still friends with Josh and Pete. They firmly took Bill's side at Comic-Con, and Jerry realized he had no reason to associate with that kind of negativity anymore.
Zachary Evans
[as] won't do any shows about men anymore
Juan James
You can’t see Jerry’s gf breaking it off with him and distancing herself from the “culture” after Comic con? Jerry becomes angry with her, not understanding why he lost everything even though he had done everything right. He doubles down on his hobbies, not wanting to be “wrong”, but falls out of public favor because he will always be associated with “that crazy fuck who caused the great Joss Whedon riot”.
Gavin Nguyen
No, that's clearly not what the ending was going for. Ellen's just desperate for more hyper nerd shit to shlick to.
Cameron Bell
This. In the comic you can clearly tell this was where Bill was set down his path for good. The intervention was the final nail in the coffin strictly because it went about trying to reform him through completely ineffective means. The assaulted Bill and condemned his hobbies rather than fighting the root of his problems (arguably his anger issues and insecurity.) If he'd gotten real therapy, he might have turned out okay, and that's sad.
Dorkin has confirmed that Jerry and Mandi are fine after the con riot, albeit they both needed therapy. Glad to see another Eltingville thread, hope we get some good OC content this time around.
>Dorkin has confirmed that Jerry and Mandi are fine after the con riot meh fuck that crap
Blake Hughes
>Glad to see another Eltingville thread, hope we get some good OC content this time around. I thought we were waiting until the 25th.
Aiden Powell
I honestly love the pilot. There's something so perfect about it. I wonder if the club would have been shown simping for Bill's sister if we got more of it.
>fuck what the creator of the series says, I dictate what is and isn't canon! Don't tell me, it actually ended with Mandi breaking up with Jerry, only to run into Pete who took his Comic-Con rage out on her by beating the shit out of her and locking her in his basement where he would constantly film himself raping her until eventually he got bored and mutilated her face before straight up murdering her and fucking her corpse?
Gabriel Phillips
Why wouldn't you want to see Jerry still manage to be happy with his life after the con? By wanting him to fall and suffer again you're missing the point of the ending. He was the one who tried to reunite the club, even against Pete and Jerry's wishes, he was the one who went back to save Bill from the stampede, he risked his life to save the only people who called him friend growing up only to be rebuked and scuffed. He left them behind, finally, at the end, the other three in a dark car with no driver, still bickering about pointless fandom bullshit, while he went to find his girlfriend and move on. To assume he relapsed would be to dampen the impact of the story and what little hope it gives to people who've in similar situations.
Eli Jenkins
For all his douchebaggery Pete would never do that. He’s edgy but mostly in a superficial way.
We are, don’t reply to this one. Let it die and we’ll make the Halloween one on the 25th
Brody James
This is why Bill is popular with women. He became a nerd to channel his rage into something harmless. Bill doesn't work because he would bully geek girls into becoming titcows and alpha Bitches to boost their confidence.
"Bazinga" show pushes a sanitized version of nerds to the general population. It's the type of show that pushes the meme that nerds are all nice guys and real smart.
Eltingville is too real and shows the reality of how geeks can actually be giant pieces of trash.
Brandon Jones
YOU- YOU- ANTI SEMITE! laughed my ass off
Jeremiah Thomas
he's a perfect character because I can totally imagine a nerdy jew like him existing in real life with the obesity, ponytail, and all. Not that the others are totally unrealistic, but I have a harder time imagining them in real life.
Camden Perez
I’ve seen it in real life. The reason why that’s so funny is because nobody in the audience knew he was Jewish. The pilot tapped really well into the specific realistic nerd rage and insecurity that the comic communicates, and that line is such a quintessential ‘throwing absolutely everything I have at you because I’ve got nothing’ moment
Tyler Ward
>Pete would never do that. Why not, he's already a rapist and into all that horror porn shit
Hudson Flores
mad cuz bad lol
Leo Parker
Man you horny fujos have really made me hate this series.
Noah Morgan
it would be interesting to see them go after BBT type guys. My problem with Eltingville is how unlikeable they all are although I guess that's the point I have literally never met a guy like Bill. Fans are always huge pussies I would respect Bill for having a spine even if I didn't like him
Juan Thompson
You meet guys like Bill on here. Back in gamergate everyone was posting like Bill, all a nerd nerds is an enemy
Evan Hughes
You're on Zig Forums, it's all Bills.
Nicholas Davis
If you want to see a Bill just notice how fucking furious some guys get about these threads because they know women are in them
Nathan Sullivan
It unironically pisses me off so much that women are just here all the time being unchecked and unharassed.
Dylan Nguyen
It’s this self-defeating nature you guys demonstrate that makes me think Jerry would ultimately succumb back to the same state as Bill
