>From HBO Max, DC Entertainment, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television comes a bold adaptation of the iconic comic book franchise in a saga spanning decades and galaxies. GREEN LANTERN will depict the adventures of a multitude of Green Lanterns, including Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Alan Scott — Earth’s first Green Lantern, who, true to the comics, is a gay man — and many more. The series will also include fan-favorites such as Sinestro and Kilowog, and will also introduce new heroes to the ranks of the Green Lantern Corps.
>HBO Max has ordered 10 one-hour episodes. The series will be co-written and executive produced by Seth Grahame-Smith ("The Lego Batman Movie") and Marc Guggenheim ("Arrow"), with Grahame-Smith serving as showrunner.
The only aspect I hate about this is their character assassination of Alan Scott
Luis Wright
It is now.
Kayden Stewart
I'm guessing they're saving Hal Jordan and John Stewart for the movies
Michael Hill
I have to give it a shot for my boy Guy Gardner. It will most likely be shit but sometimes you need to support the characters you like.
Owen Hall
Yeah, NOW. It's been canon to the main timeline for, what, less than a decade? And now they trumpet about it being "true to the comics" with almost a century of character history erased, ffft, like that.
Logan Powell
I'll pirate the first episode, but I don't hold much hope for this.
Matthew Davis
Yep.
Noah White
OH BOY MORE LIVE-ACTION CAPESHIT WITH SHITTY CGI I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT
Bentley Myers
>Alan Scott — Earth’s first Green Lantern, who, true to the comics, is a gay man I am getting very mad
Hunter Rivera
I bet they still get at least a cameo if not a solid couple minutes of screentime throughout the series, same with Kyle.
Asher Gray
How likely is a Simon/Jess Romance. Im a fan of the pairing so im feeling optimistic.
Eli Scott
It's only been canon since Doomsday Clock. You're a casual who complains about comics you don't read.
Landon Lopez
I wonder why they're using Guy in the series instead of Kyle, since Hal, Guy, and John were the first 3. It would make more sense for the first 3 lanterns to be in the movies while the 3 newest ones be in the series.
