Capeshit is at peak popularity

>capeshit is at peak popularity
>marvel and dc have no good cartoons right now
Why are their cartoon departments so shit?

Action cartoons in the past were a vehicle to sell toys. Fewer kids are watching TV period, they're just watching youtubers and streamers. And they're not buying as many toys, they're just playing video games. If pretty much the ONLY ways to monetize a show aren't working any more, they're not going to make that show.

The DC cartoon movies are okay.

The recent Superman one was decent, but all the New 52 ones were shit.

Funny that, I recall ridiculous amounts of toys from BTAS, and even a few STAS, but not a single Justice League toy.

Maybe Disney doesn't want to weaken the brand by having too much cape content adults wouldnt be interested in

Aquaman is getting an animated mini series. I'm not sure why Wondy never got one though.

Ahem

She's part of DC Superhero Girls. Kids companies don't like to dilute the brand, so they focus on X Product for Boys and Y Product for Girls. Easier market saturation that way.

I'm hyping myself for Long Halloween, if they do that shit right, I'll fucking die happy

>not a single Justice League toy
The existed. I had a bunch of them, but I think they were Unlimited.

That's not the case because Marvel had plenty of cartoons the last few years. It's just that they were all shit.

With the exception of Young Justice all the DC cartoons are entertaining and fun. It’s the DC live action movies that are self-important shite.

They've done nothing worthwhile since Batman Brave and the Bold and that was a decade ago.

he clearly means an action show but Harley Quinn has a surprising amount of fights akin to BBATB in that regard as the cheesy action music atests too

EXCUSE ME WHAT'S DCSHG?!

it's shit

it's good

it's okay but not great

I don't know, I haven't watched it.

I'd paypig a service that included a new version of the JL cartoons, same art, same tone, with an updated production budget.

Man of Tomorrow was the most boring shit I've ever watched. It's pretty, sure, but pretty boring shit.

>monetization
Have Marvel and DC considered streaming services? Pay via subscription, no need for toys or merchandising.

>capeshit is at peak popularity
Live-action capeshit is at peak popularity, no one cares about shitty drawings for kids and nerds.

>Aquaman is getting an animated mini series
TIED TO THE FUCKING MOVIE
It's okay but I'd rather have traditional series, this just a show made to sell dolls that happens to not be soulless.

>Have Marvel and DC considered streaming services?
Marvel has. That's why we're getting new shows on Disney+.

>Man of Tomorrow was the most boring shit I've ever watched
You must have skipped the last 20 dtv DC movies then. Man of Tommorow is great and one of the best dtv animated films they've done.

If anything animated capeshit is antithetical to what made the MCU, and capes as a whole, successful. People want to be rewarded for consuming easy to digest content, and the stigmatization of animation means that adult midwits need to convince themselves to watch it.

Meanwhile in Japan

You're a few years late, shit is dying.

all i'm hearing on my end is you going GLK GLK GLK and the sounds of your throat's muscles swallowing japanese cum as you say "thank you nation of the rising sun"

This

Millenials still buy toys. Maybe they should shift their toy demographics to an older audience while researching newer products for Zoomers. They could charge a premium for better articulation and more extras since older manchildren have more disposable income.

so why are the gravitating towards anime
