Most of my "bullying" amounted to me being unable to take a joke, so looking back I'm glad I was able to grow up and stop being so sensitive about things. In general, light bullying is good so people can learn some give and take and develop a bit of confidence about themselves, but severe bullying can absolutely shatter a kid's self esteem. And kids are little retards for the most part anyway, it's the parents who should be targeted in anti-bully campaigns. Why don't they face more repurcussions for raising little shit stains

im under the belief that you shouldnt hit your kids, but you should let them be hit

regularly hitting a child as their caretaker teaches em to only respect you via fear and nothing else, that those bigger than them can hurt them and that the only p consequences to their actions are physical- therefor when mommy or daddy arent around, they can fuck up. and when theyre older, theyre inevitably going to hurt those smaller than them because theyre learned thats the way to go

but ultimately sometimes violence IS a result of their actions. sometimes when they do dumb shit, someones going to hit em for it, most likely their peers wherever it is they be, child or adult. and they should know that that can happen and it should be allowed to happen, esp from their peers so that they, as adult, can also equate it to retribution from their peers as opposed to seeing the power imbalance in it and acting on THAT. it shouldnt be seen as punishment, but a result
