Newgrounds was pretty much a goldmine for anything and everything Flash related, and had a major effect on internet art to this day. DeviantArt, for a complete lack of better words, has some of the most depraved and autistic shit ever made within its archives, to where its one of the major sources of images and posts for Encyclopedia Dramatica. It has its own legacy, and some of it is positive, but its an entirely different kind to Newgrounds, which is almost certainly one of the reasons why Flash became so big to begin with.

Because deviantart was always full of weird childish OCs or fetish shit, sometimes both together.
That being said, I do miss the era of artists using actual art websites instead of everyone being on fucking Twitter, the worst site on the internet.

It'd still the best way to look at and find art outside off imageboards. I hate that artists nowadays gravitate toward twitter because the layout is so abysmal when it comes to art.

I beg to differ I remember encountering gender bender art of female Sonic and shadow making out under a tree with my best friend when were were browsing Sonic art there. I tried to play it of like I didn't like it but he could tell. I remember it pretty well.

It was though. It’s one of those websites that had so many content creators that would go on to be bigger then Deviant Art itself. None of them nostalgic for the Deviant Art glory days besides the extremely sad like Dobson. For most of the late 2010s the top active profiles where Metokur for a laugh and Mr.Enter both of whom fucked off
