I wonder how much this mirrors the actual events that might have occurred during Ssael's ascendancy. Did Tirna bring him further up as a threat only for him to swing a hell of a lot harder then she bargained?

Obviously in the moment this is Duane getting pushed one step too far as its implied twin slaughter is something Ssael helped approve which is probably just a bridge too far for our plod, regardless of how tightly Sette is trying to squeeze his reins.
Also just realized that the thorns on Tirna's mask look really like the first silver, though I'm not sure if that's intended or not.
