Infinity Train

How would you fix the ending of Book 3?

Kill all non humans.

Grace die and isn't rescued by the paper birds. simon still get Ghomed

All the other kids are traumatised and, directionless, dies one after the other. The last kid die slowly of gangrenes.

No origami deus ex machina, let Grace die as well.

These threads always start out great don't they.

Make Book 3 a twenty episode long season, not a ten-episode season. Because you can't tell the story they wanted to tell well with such a short amount of time.
Also cut the useless back and forth over "The conductor cant be trusted, Simon! Wait, nevermind, she can be trusted". Like what the fuck was that shit.

Simple.
>Simon doesn't leave Grace in the origami car
>drags her back to the Apex to make her an example
>Grace wakes up
>cue soft GOT politics
>Grace wins because she's much more socially attune/manipulative than Simon
>Simon, seeing the way things are going, orders a sparring match to determine who's boss
>he wins but still almost falls to his death between train cars
>Grace saves his life
>Simon realizes he may have been wrong about some things but still doesn't trust Grace enough to stay
>Grace understands how much she fucked up and everything she's responsible for and asks for forgiveness, says she loves him
>Simon says he understands but he can't stay
>walks off into the next train car
>bittersweet open ending that he may or may not forgive her

I don't, there's nothing to fix.

They really do

>Grace saves his life
>Simon realizes he may have been wrong about some things but still doesn't trust Grace enough to stay
>Grace understands how much she fucked up and everything she's responsible for and asks for forgiveness
>Simon says he understands but he can't stay
>walks off into the next train car
Not perfect but I like this version way more

It really would have been more interesting if they let Simon stick around, even if he were still antagonistic. Not really interested in Grace just being a less shitty mom to all the kids while they figure out how to get their numbers down.

I think the biggest mistake of the whole book was letting Hazel go before the conflict with Simon ended. Without Hazel around, Simon has absolutely no threat or intimidation left since hes too pathetic to do anything about the Apex that sticks. The last two episodes lacked tension for me because I knew what would happen with the apex and didn't care about any of them

That he didn't try to kill Hazel made no sense.

Full frontal unobstructed nudity of an underage girl

Maybe he put Hazel on a kill on sight list? I'm sure the Cat was on such a list of his as well.

>I'm sure the Cat was on such a list of his as well
Ad yet he went and begged her for help, and once she gave him what he wanted, he left without harming her.

That was before "It all comes tumbling down... tumbling down..." E9. In E10, you can bet the Cat got put on the kill on sight list.

From the looks of it he still loved Samantha deep inside. He was angry with her but did not want her hurt
This girl? >118500030

Have Simon lurk in the background as an antagonist, maybe start his own cult of violent passengers to rival Grace?

The apex should have split, I'm sure there were kids that were probably loyal to Grace because they felt a bond with her and would have listened to her, and then there were probably kids who liked their lifestyle of wrecking things so they would have wanted to go with Simon.

They could have done a lot. They wanted the ending to be too clean when it wasn't a satisfying ending anyways.

>The apex should have split
Would have a lot of potential for story. I can imagine Grace trying to redeem herself while Simon goes off into another car with half the kids, almost like a "lost boys" group that want to stay young and immature for good.

Simon going off with cat may be another good idea.

There's no point fixing something that never worked in the first place.

Why would he do that though? I don't understand everyone's soft spot for the cat.
The cat who doesn't care for anyone but herself and told him she is who she is. The cat never even told him the truth about numbers that led him to believe the lie from Grace and that whole escape thing was BS even if you can believe she thought Simon could fit through that small hole. At least Grace periodically saves the lives of her orbiters at the expense of her own.

That exactly it. Simon always hung around someone that could save him. Him going back to the cat (who I recognize as a nasty character) could have made him into a better villain eventually, less just pathetic.

I could see Simon going back to the cat just because he already went to her when he felt isolated from Grace anyways. Simon seems like the sort of person who really needs to emotionally rely on someone, so despite not trusting the cat the affection he still had for her would have made her his only rebound option.

>The cat never even told him the truth about numbers
I think she probably did tell him, but it didn't matter to Simon once Grace came into his life and was a better protector. He probably just assumed the cat was always lying to him. Simon seemed like he didn't want to go home anyways, so he was probably just hanging out with Samantha and she wasn't necessarily helping him get his number down - which was pretty low and would have probably taken less than a few months.

been wanting to watch book 3 but I figured I would be rolling the dice that book 3 would be some retarded woke bullshit. with how many complaints I see about it, I can't help but wonder if I was right.

It’s bad in places but that doesn’t make it woke bullshit just the regular kind.

>I could see Simon going back to the cat just because he already went to her when he felt isolated from Grace anyways
This. He does not want to be alone, she seems like the one he would fall back on.

well if it's just regular bullshit... maybe I'll check it out. I just don't like it when the sotoryboarders and character designers feel the need to shove some character in my face. it completely disrupts the viewing experience when they do that, disbelief can only be suspended so far when it comes to "token diversity character whose sole personality trait is that they're a token diversity character".

>Simon killing One-One
ok this is epic

>if a character isn't white they're a token diversity character reeeeee

>I just don't like it when the sotoryboarders and character designers feel the need to shove some character in my face
which character tho?
