Wasted potential, just like every other Disney Marvel series.

What even happened in the last ep, anything left unresolved?

Same problem as every other modern spidey product, white men bashing due to lefty writers.
Peter was always written as stupid, weak and emasculated and overall the worst of the spider people to make women and minorites look better and stronger in comparison.
Literally every joke was either him making a childish, nerdy or cringe statement or overall acting stupid or incompetent and other characters calling him stupid and a loser for it.
He always had to be rescued by female characters but female character never had to be rescued by him or were used for joke at his expense.
The show also had no identity nor did it know what it wanted to do.

Haven’t watched the last season, any chance of shirtless Peter?

The science school took too much relatability from Peter.
Also, too many spider-people.

MJ was hot though

The final episode essentially served as a finale that also sets up something new (Peter dating MJ and starting a tech company with his friends after Horizon got blown up) while also serving as an "ending" of sorts. Oh, and the Lizard and Swarm subplots got unresolved.

No, it was unresolved. I guess they wanted to left some stuff hanging in case they got a new season.

They are planning one, not officially starting one yet. Peter mentions he might be going back to Midtown. Tony Stark is funding it as a compromise to Peter turning down the Avengers invitation.

What a fucking mess, what was even the point of this season between all this subplots, S2 had a better ending that pretty much finalized everything.

They saved all the good animation for the last couple of episodes (and I think Miles's fight against Superior Spider-Man). I still think the art style is pretty ugly.

Marvel stopped considering Eddie Brock to be part of Venom. Now Venom is the symbiote and the symbiote alone. It sucks, since it makes the symbiote a generic villain, but it is what it is.

But Brock is the Venom again in all the games, movie and comics after years of being inactive, they wouldn’t have done that if they felt like you said.

I didn't mean that they didn't use Eddie anymore, just that they think of the symbiote itself as Venom, rather than the combination of the two.

Sell toys. I don't know if you noticed, but Marvel prepped up a huge Maximum Venom toyline and I guess they needed this show's corpse for a vehicle. It's clear the producers resented this and included symbiotes as little as possible. Remember that invasion that only lasted one episode and was in the middle of the season?

Yeah. Too bad she's barely in the series.
