I'm binging through Animaniacs and i'm kind of hating the Chicken Boo cartoons, because everyone ends up being an asshole towards Chicken Boo and unlike say, the Warners cartoons, they aren't executed in an over the top and humorous way

it's just a chicken

bump

He's a chicken?
I don't see it user.

what the fuck, it's a GIANT CHICKEN

How dare you! Go back from whence you came and never speak ill of /ourguy/ again!

Look at those drumsticks!

You're right, the endings are too meanspirited. I think the Chicken Boo meme (like this thread) is actually better than the cartoon itself.

here's your general rule for quality
Slappy Squirrel > Pinky & the Brain > Rita & Runt (ranked high for Rita's singing) > Warner Siblings >= Buttons & Mindy >= Minerva Mink > Goodfeathers > Chicky Boo > Hippos

Guy gave me nightmares

cartoons were incredibly meanspirited back in the day. when i was a kid, i was obsessed with cartoons, and i would still get turned off by slapstick that was basically just torture

Based dubs of truth.

Nice dubs of truth.
>No mention of Katie Ka-Boom, Mime, or Mr. Skullhead
Based as those segments were shit-tastic.

But it's literally just a giant chicken. It never once shows any indication that it has any feelings whatsoever. That's why it's funny that people try to be especially "mean" to it.

How could you talk about another person this way? Shame on you.

Why so much hate for buttons & mandy? I always find them as funny as they were sexy.

Mindy was a cunt. Her mother was even bigger cunt

She was a damn toddler. I always found her "why?" routine deeply funny.

repetitive, predictable humor pisses me off

I didn't liked it because it was the same shit all the time, the same joke but that isn't even really funny at all.

buttons and mindy was also hard to watch for the hapless dog getting pummeled over and over again just to save a small child who is indifferent to it's suffering

constant, mean-spirited slapstick being played for laughs is more stressful to watch than actual torture scenes in dramatic movies. the cartoon universe being completely indifferent to the over the top pain is creepy

Anyone else getting Animaniacs shit spammed in your YT recommended feed? I didn't even watch anything relevant to it in my history. So fucking annoying.

>Rating Goodfeathers that low
>No Mime Time
>No Good Idea, Bad Idea
You're either just shitposting or you're one of those weird fucks from furaffinity who jerks it to big tittied Slappy art

If the new Animaniacs did this instead of some random retarded cyclops, I'd actually give it a chance.

So you hated the entire show?
Because that's all it was.

when i was a kid, i liked it when they actually told a new story. i zoned out during the segments that repeated one gimmick. i don't feel any desire to rewatch it and i'm not excited for the reboot

>cartoons were incredibly meanspirited back in the day.
You're one of those edgelords who roots for villains only aren't you?

Bullshit! I refuse to believe you were so coddled as a kid that you couldn't learn to appreciate a bit of slapstick.

good lord

no, but i did always feel bad for wile e coyote
yeah, a bit. slapstick is funny to me when it's rooted in a character's pride or if it's a legitimate consequence for their actions. i get stressed out when it's just a character essentially being tortured over and over, and i get bored if it's purely physical humor with nothing else
