After a previous thread on the subject, I came up with an outline/proposal for a Friday the 13th Animated Series.
Plot: >After killing or driving away the camp counselors for Camp Crystal Lake, the bus driver, assuming Jason is the Head Counselor, drops off a bunch of kids leaving Jason in charge to run the Camp in the stead of the missing counselors, due to his sympathetic nature for kids and wanting all of them to enjoy a summer camp experience he himself never got to, no matter what stands in his way, be it monsters, humans, or newfound adolescent experiences for his campers, he’ll give them a camp experience they’ll never forget...
What I typed out was too long, so more to come shortly.
Main Characters: >Jason Voorhees - A serial slasher who drowned in Crystal Lake due to negligent teenage counselors, developing a hatred for most teens who don’t earn his respect. A momma’s boy with a love of kids who just wants to give them a camp experience he was robbed of as a kid. Tries his best at being a camp counselor since it’s relatively new territory for him. >Pamela Voorhees - The decapitated head of Jason’s mother that constantly pushes for Jason to try to kill those campers and counselors surrounding him. Early on she has him set up traps to try to kill the campers but either they fail or hurt attacking monsters instead, saving the kiddos. Can occasionally give good motherly advice. A Helicopter mom even if her son’s a serial slasher and she’s a talking head. >Crazy Ralph - The camp bus driver who’s the go to expert on the local legends and crazies. Easily distractible and somehow can’t put two and two together that the strong, silent hockey mask wearing new Camp Director is the local serial slasher Jason Voorhees. Had his driver’s license revoked in 1980 but somehow got a job as a Campground Bus Driver. Former Alcoholic.
>Bill Brown - One of the counselors who showed up late on the day of the Camp Crystal Lake opening, Jason shanghai's him into helping him wrangle the camp kids since they’re too much to handle on his own. The camp handyman, he’s usually the one making sure everything’s working and that the kids aren’t stumbling into the killer traps left around by Jason. He and Jason come to respect each other after seeing each other’s skills at work, especially in regards to saving the kids. Develops a crush on Alice. >Alice Hardy - One of the counselors who showed up late on the day of the Camp Crystal Lake opening, Jason shanghai's her into helping him wrangle the camp kids since they’re too much to handle on his own. An aspiring artist who’s originally afraid of Jason but wears a brave face for the kids’ sake. Eventually grows to respect Jason and believes he can be redeemed after seeing all the work he’s putting in to give these kids a good summer. Develops a crush on Bill. >Probably a bunch of kid campers named after various Ft13 characters
Recurring Characters/Antagonists: >Tommy Jarvis - A Monster Hunter who has a vendetta against Jason Voorhees for something in his past from when he was a camper at Crystal Lake. Puts aside his differences with Jason usually to help protect the kids, even if he hates working with the slasher. >Roy Burns - A Paramedic who’s determined to rescue and make sure those kids at Camp Crystal Lake are safe by any means necessary, even if it means he has to become Jason Voorhees himself. >The Black Dog - A black hound specter like monster that roams the forest greens around Crystal Lake. It’s usually harmless but specifically doesn’t like Jason and other monsters of his ilk. Over time it grows to respect and even like him, acting like the Camp Pet. >Jersey Devil - An irredeemable red beastly scoundrel of unknown origins. Said to be a demon from hell, he’s attracted to Crystal Lake both for Jason and especially for the kids he’s protecting. He’s the one usually responsible for the various monster attacks that affect Camp Crystal Lake as the head orchestrator. Has a secret past with Pamela Voorhees. >The Black Doctor - An African American Doctor who was drowned in Crystal Lake for trying to practice medicine without permission due to his race. He seeks vengeance on those who wronged him, though if you’re sick or injured in his presence his duty bounds him to help you instead. He’s more brains compared to Jason’s brawn. He’s a major fan of botany and all things plants.
>The Golden Hair Girl - The ghost of a girl who is bound to the Jersey Devil. She is his aide in all things villainous and most do as he says or face dire consequences. Longs for a lover lost to time and wishes no harm against the Crystal Lake Kids, but is forced to do the evil deeds anyway. Is jealous of the Female Camp Counselor and despises Jason for some unknown reason. >The White Stag - A ghostly white deer that’s haunted Jason since he originally attended Camp Crystal Lake, specifically since the day he drowned. According to local legend it brings good luck to those who see it. Whenever it appears, Jason stops everything to try to hunt it, usually having it evade his capture due to various circumstances arising that take his priority, such as a monster attack or the kids being in danger. >Other various humans and monsters of the day (mostly cryptids)
Episode Ideas/Examples: >Under the Waterline - It’s time to teach some of the campers how to swim for the first time but Jason has to overcome his previous trauma of drowning in the very Lake he’s currently teaching swim classes in. It’s a life and death situation not only for him, but for his campers as well. >Point Pleasant - It’s Parents Day at Camp Crystal Lake, and Jason and the other Counselors have to do everything to appease the parents of all the campers who are visiting while hiding and fighting off the mysterious Mothman who flew in alongside the muckraking parents. >Tommyknockers - A mysterious man is seen lurking around Camp Crystal Lake, when Jason goes to deal with this mysterious stranger, he’ll be confronted with a person from his past that he never imagined he would meet again.
This is a show of wholesomeness and horror, so I want you guys to go crazy with your ideas, stuff like Jason leading an arts and crafts contest to him fighting Bigfoot all in the same episode. For the curious, I took inspiration for some of the characters from local NJ myths and legends where Ft13 is based, and I suggest you guys do the same. I wanna keep this mostly Friday the 13th characters, but if you want to add crossover characters from other horror properties I don’t mind, such as Freddy Kreuger, Mike Myers, Ash Williams, Sadako the Ring Girl, or the rest of the Horrorverse Bunch since this is the Spooky Month of Halloween after all. Also related Horror Movie discussion like the last thread is welcome I guess.
So Zig Forums, give me your Jason Voorhees Cartoon ideas
Also I originally had written “kid loving nature” in the plot synopsis but I knew you fags would take that to mean he was a pedophile/kiddie diddler so I changed it, thought you all would enjoy that little tidbit [/ spoiler]
I'm glad the Jersey Devil is included since the series takes place in Jersey. I'd like to see what happens if Rick from Splatterhouse visited Crystal Lake. Would he think Jason needed to be put down or would they team up against a bigger threat?
I'm all for it, I want to continue this from the previous thread I mentioned so you're welcome to

Rick is basically a family man after a point, and the Terror Mask by the time of the reboot/pseudo-sequel/timeline-unifier is only really out to get revenge against the Corrupted for murdering and torturing the people that were under its care. If anything, they'd get along swimmingly.

On this topic, might as well post this to get discussion going
I'm all for it, as long as Jason makes grunting noises like the Headless Body of Spiro Agnew
Jace Garcia
pity bump - thread will probably take off once the original one actually slides but you should have waited and taken the time to rework your supporting cast

A few of my ideas: >Jason gets increasingly comedically frustrated over the course of an episode about his inability to make a lizard keychain out of beads >Someone is pulling pranks around the camp and causing mischief, leaving candy everywhere. Surely it couldn’t be the new camper, Sam? He follows all the rules! >Camper Carrie White develops a precocious crush on Jason because he’s so kind, and he has to find a way to turn the kid down gently >The new camper is... a doll? Everyone goes along with treating it like a camper, but there might be a more mundane answer, and a very shy person in hiding >Dr. Herbert West arrives to do a first aid class, but keeps getting distracted by Jason’s reanimated nature
Luis Martin
A few more: >Camp chef Bubba finds a book of Pamela Voorhees’ recipes (since she was also a camp chef there) and eating his mamas food again brings Jason to nostalgic tears >Creighton Duke, a famous monster hunter, teams up with Tommy Jarvis to try and take down Jason, but his methods are too extreme, and Tommy must team up with Jason to save the kids >A camper says Candyman 5 times in the mirror and summons a very confused spirit, who disappointingly is not made of candy. Instead, he teaches them to paint >The camp is getting increasingly gross phone calls and it’s up to Jason to track down the pervert harassing the councilors >Camper Andy refused to leave his Good Guy doll at home, but strange things start happening at camp that can’t be traced back to mischief makers Sam or Brahms, could the doll REALLY be alive this time?
Charles Harris
Why is Ghostface so hot in DBD?
Henry Johnson
Sexy outfit, sexy noise when stunned, confidence levels through the roof, cocky enough to pretend to be a journalist and report on his own crimes, never shown losing as badly as the ones in the movies.
Chase Gomez
I dont mind his prattfalls in the movie. I do love his voice in the original. >Why do you want to know my name? >Because I wanna know who I'm looking at.
Asher Thomas
They both really want to fuck him, don't they?
Chase Nelson
The voice is really the best part, sends chills down my spine, but in a good way. It goes from normal sexy to murderously sexy in an instant.
Sebastian Diaz
Is Angela Baker in this? Knows the Happy Camper song
Julian Phillips
>murderously sexy in an instant Ah I see you have a culinary degree; because your taste is impeccable.
Definitely. Angela is probably a pretty happy camper. Does she have a camp boyfriend tho?
Ian Reed
A councilor who gets into a rivalry with Jason over who the campers like more, both getting surprisingly competitive before they have to work together to rescue a camper stuck high up in a tree.
