Both pages were written by the same man
I guess on the left-hand panel you could argue he was confirming like he was with Chill, and was expecting the chair to say "Arthur Fleck" or whatever but it responding with "there are three"
Way to ruin the relationship he had with his wife, Johns
Yeah, he's running through things that only he and a very select few would actually know. He's not asking it to find out the information, he's asking it to figure out if the chair actually knows.
>Killing Joke backstory is canon only Joker was a domestic abuser instead of a good man down on his luck
Hahahahahahaha!
Fuck you Johns
Yeah, I don't like that.
wtf is his problem
Moore was right. Johns really does pick through his garbage
Johns did interviews for 3 Jokers where he said he views Joker as the most pure evil and inhuman character in DC. Why else do you think the entire book was marketed as a Joker comic, only to be the 100th Barbara/Jason pityparty comic? He sees Joker as a plot device for his self-inserts to angst about instead of a character. That's why he had to retcon the only human aspect left to him, because he doesn't want people to sympathise with the villain of his personal powerfantasy story.
>"Superhero shit got too dark."
>This
Not only undermines the whole "was this his backstory real or not" deal he also ruins the whole point of killing joke about normal people just needing some bad luck to end up like the joker.
>the whole point of killing joke about normal people just needing some bad luck to end up like the joker.
Except the whole point was that it's someone's personal morality that determines how they react to things. That's why one bad day didn't drive Gordon insane, and why one bad day convinced Bruce Wayne to be a force for good. All that one bad day did was expose how rotten the man who would become Joker was down deep.
I'm glad Johns realized having a divine magic chair kickstart this story was gay as shit.
Fuck cosmic DC, Batman should never touch it.
>ping!
i still giggle when i see batman in the magic chair and remember someone on Zig Forums saying it made microwave noises
> "I knew The Joker's name one week after we first met."
> Alfred has an OMG face
> "What?"
So... why the fuck didn't he say anything about it until NOW!?
It's almost like Geoff Johns is a real dumb person.
I don't mind the twist.
Because fuck Joker wanking.
He was always a terrible person and the twist proves it.
>Having Joker not be a terrible person before going crazy is wank
goddamn it, i just read three jokers 3 and i'm mad
this made me kek, though. thanks user, really needed that
After the monstrous embarrassment of
Doomsday Clock, Johns decides to....embarrass himself even more with Three Jokers. And each time he somehow thinks he's taking Alan Moore down a peg or something.
It's like some guy constantly challenging Michael Jordan to a 1-on-1 basketball game because he thinks they're equals, only to be completely ignored and ending up shitting himself on the court each time.
I wonder which of Moore's DC works he's going to take on next.
Johns trying something with the ABC universe would be funny, but even better would be him trying to make a series out of the Twilight of the Superheroes proposal.
Fuck yeah, best Joker survived.
>Twilight of the Superheroes
kek. he's probably saving that one for his final "masterpiece" before he leaves dc
>He sees Joker as a plot device
Most comics with joker do this, this comic is a perfect example of joker no longer being his own character. Look at white knight and joker war, He's only for plot to advance other characters
"I'll finish what Moore didn't and finally show the world how much better I am!"
This comic somehow made meta commentary on how trash of a character Joker has become as an "agent of chaos," claimed he had no definitive backstory, mocked the reader for ever thinking otherwise, then pulled the rug out and tried to copy a better stort-- The Killing Joke--for ideas while simultaneously ruining it with a shitty retcon that "ooooh Joker was ALWAYS evil, he was never a normal, down on his luck man, he was an absuive asshole."
Bravo, Johns. Just...bravo. You took a shitty idea for a story, wrote everyone in it poorly, then made a trash ending that completely contradicted what your story had presented thus far, while also trashing on pre-established canon.
>NOOOOOOO NOT MUH HECKIN CONTINUITY!!!!!!!
This site is for 18+.
Calm down, Geoff.
Why didn't Batman ask the chair to elaborate and give him all the details?
Actually, yeah. Batman, Jim and Barbara all had "One bad day" and they didn't become pieces of shit like the Joker. I'm fine with him being a terrible person before his acid bath. That said 3 Jokers was awful and making the multiple choice of Killing Joke canon was a mistake
Exactly. This is the old romcom "no time to explain!" bullshit. Batman had access to literally all knowledge, there's no reason he wouldn't have used it to its fullest extent because making best use of available resources is what the character does.
And people over 18 care about things that matter.
No continuity: Nothing matters.
