Darren Aronofsky's Batman Year One

>Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) is raised in the slums of Gotham City by auto-mechanic Big Al and his son Little Al after his parents’ murders and grows into a vicious vigilante who brands criminals with a bat-shaped ring. Armed with an arsenal of homemade weapons and a modified Lincoln Continental and operating from an abandoned subway station, Batman joins forces with suicidal alcoholic Captain Jim Gordon to take down corrupt Commissioner Gillian Loeb, Gotham’s kingpin of crime.

would it have bombed Zig Forums?

Probably.

It would've been a terrible Batman movie but it would've been kino.

Basically a Burton situation.

Shit is so retarded. They literally have the plot in images, why go the extra mile to shit on it and come out with a terrible story?

>raised in the slums of Gotham City by auto-mechanic Big Al and his son Little Al
Wtf?

It's different, but interesting.

I just want a Batman story told with state of the art 1930's technology.

On a side note. Does NYC exist in DC? Is Gotham in New Jersey? Is Metropolis NYC? What about Star City? Its in Cali.. I think.. where's Flash's city?

who are you will you marry me please

It would probably have felt and looked good, but we would be pissing on it's grave like Joker killing the Waynes in 89, it's retarded and uneeded

Central City/Keystone is in the Midwest, something about the great open spaces create more speedsters, i think its supposed to be Kansas City or Omaha/Council Bluffs with on epart being nice and the other across the river being shitty

This version of Batman would actually fit the world of Phoenix Joker perfectly

So you want Strange Days with a longer runtime? Me too.

You three should hook up.

All the real major cities exist alongside the DC cities. So the US has like twice as many major cities in the DCU. I'm not sure if that's better than having everything set in NYC or not.

I can't think of any DC heroes based in NYC.

I just want to return to the original Batman setting with better writing.

Why did he wear purple gloves

Comic paper and inking back then were not nearly on the level of what they are today. I guess that is part of how they managed to sell comics for a nickel.

That's just The Phantom. Batman really is a rip off.

Same reason for why Superman's logo kept changing from a shield to a triangle to a diamond, evolution in design baby

92 cents into today's money.

Also that reminds me how the Hulk was originally going to be.. gray.

Well yeah but I was wondering if there was an in universe explanation lel

>an in universe explanation
Doubt it. They were probably purple just to make his hands more distinct, sort of like how Super Mario's mustache is a different color than his hair.

Yeah aside from the purple gloves that Batsuit is pretty cool.

I've always been a sucker for the big, prominent, bat ears.

Holy shit Batman broke that dude's neck? Hardcore.

Speaking of old supersuits. I like Nightwing's old one.

Way too disco for my tastes. At least he didn't have bell bottoms, tho.

Speedy has no right to complain about Nightwing's outfit lel and yeah I see what you mean but I still think its cool. Mainly for its color scheme.
