Was Namor right?

Namor usually is.

Where is this from?

Does emma really love Scott?

Are all Marvel stories cuck stories?

IIRC, no. Scott has cold feet about marriage because he subconsciously associates it with death. He feels like everyone he gets that close to dies.

Yes in fact she was obsessed with him pre-Hickman. She made a fake Scott when the original died and tried to groom his teenage double.

I think she actually does love Scott.

Namor's one to talk, he treats women like shit

It's complicated, but it's more like Emma wants Scott as a kind of trophy, while Scott likes Emma bringing out his darker impulses. They don't actually get along that well, so it's more of a hatefuck frenemy kind of situation

Granted, Scott doesn't really love Jean so much as idolize her, to the point that he sees her less as a person and more as another reason to torture himself

Why do all the mind readers love Scott so much? He must have the mind of a true manly man.

I loved when he beat Tony Stark's ass.

Why do you say Namor when you really mean Kieron Gillen?

Didn't Scott and Emma's relationship begin with Emma basically raping him?

>Namor's one to talk, he treats women like shit
Alright Reed, simmer down there. Namor knows how to treat women and that's part of the charm he has over women like Susan and Emma. Susan's case, Namor treats her like a princess. Something Susan didn't really have a lot as she had to raise Johnny at an early age due to the trouble their father got into. Sue is always taking care of others and feels like she's overlooked and not appreciated by those she helps. This is why or at least the theory being why she developed invisible powers.

Emma on the other hand, was a near powerful super villain who was worshipped and was part of the Hellfire Club, the elite of the elites. When she got with Scott, he reminds her that she is no longer anyone's better and is part of a team/family within the X-Men now, so her ego needs to be in check. Namor reminds Emma that she is indeed better than those around her and appreciates her for who she is and doesn't have to hid that fact behind a facade when she's with him.

When is he not?

It's the other way around, Xavier spent so much time rearranging furniture in Scott's head that he finds powerful telepaths familiar, in that toxic psi-probe-me-the-way-daddy-used-to kind fo way.

I loved when Osborn beat his ass in Stark's armor on live TV and the terrible optics meant that Scott ended saved the day with the power of his power bottom masochism.

no. it was a psychic affair. not the first time he's done it either.

Who's the best love interest for Namor and who should he tie down with?

I like the Namor having a flirtatious relationship with Invisible Woman and a fling with Emma Frost but I don't think Namor should ever end up with either.

You think Reed has any contingencies for Namor trying to cuck him?

Namor is always right

Yes, a cuckshed in the Negative Zone.

No I don't think so. Not that he wouldn't be able to cause I do think Reed has the intellect and skill to have a plan for Namor and his pursuit of Sue. No, Reed loves Susan and he would never try to control her, he would respect Sue's choice. I point to FF#6, where yes he was hurt by Sue keeping a picture of Namor but he respected her and didn't get mad like Ben and Johnny. The other example would , Namor really drives it in that he tried so many times and he is really is unaware of his relationship. Reed is a man of logic, he knows the Sue loves him and doesn't pursuit the matter further than that. He is sometimes obvious to Sue emotions (Ben and Johnny as well?), Sue wants a little drama and wants to see Reed react with some emotion so that's why she flirted with Namor. But I think Sue is a loyal wife and never cheated with Namor but I'm sure she thought about it a lot at times. Lastly, in What If #1 which I believe was hinted at being the closest to the main 616 universe, Sue left Reed for Namor and Reed didn't do anything. Then again that is because Sue was turned to a water breather and couldn't live on the surface anymore.

Scott's lowkey the most interesting Marvel character, in terms of development, if you look at how things have shaken out independent of actual story quality

Consider that this man is an orphan, who was semi-tortured throughout his entire youth by a mad scientist, who was effectively adopted by a independently wealthy activist who intended to make him into a child soldier. And that place was a sanctuary for him because of how shitty his life was until that point.

Fast forward to Giant Size, he's the only classic X-Men who stays behind because he can't imagine life without the X-Men. He temporarily loses Jean because of this decision. He then loses her for real, only to hook up with her conspicuously-similar looking clone who he conceives a child with... both of which he abandons as soon as he finds out that Jean is alive again.

After Madelyne dies over the course of Inferno, Jean has swooped in and taken over as Nathan's mom but that doesn't last long either, because he gets infected with the T-O virus and has to get shunted into the future. And then, in fairly short order, he gets married, finds out that this hard assed cyborg mercenary from the future is his son who has traveled back in time, and then he and Jean travel into the future to basically live out alternate lives as Cable's adoptive parents.

I can no longer respect emma, shes not a real blonde.

Then, after all the bullshit that happened between the end of the Lobdell/Nicieza era and the beginning of Morrison's son, he's now stressed out to the point that his relationship with Jean is on the rocks which gives Emma an opportunity to sidle up to him and initiate the psychic affair. (There's some precedent for this in his flirtation with Psylocke)

The result is that the Jean dies, temporarily, but through her death and his relationship with Emma he decides to start being a little more assertive. This culminates in the Utopia era, where he is basically the head of state of a mutant nation, all the way through to the Avengers VS X-Men where he's willing to step waist deep into risky, morally dubious gray waters for the sake of mutantkind.

Now, thoroughly radicalized, he is basically in the position that Magneto used to be in and even goes into Secret Wars as trying to uphold the mutant cause. He's gone from being a complete milquetoast douchebag to a charismatic revolutionary.

And the only reason his characterization in Krakoa works at all is because, thanks to the HOXPOX reveals, Xavier is now fairly radilized himself.

In summary Cyclops might have a dull personality, but his story is anything but.

Cant take his character seriously when he got stealth cucked by wolverine with jean.
