>Ren & Stimpy and Beavis & Butt-Head get reboots announced for Comedy Central.
>Idiots on internet go "Nooo! we need new and diverse voices no more reboots!! cancel it!".
>Animaniacs and Tiny Toons get reboots.
>Idiots on the internet go "OMG so cool my childhood is back I love reboots".
How is this phenomenon called?
Ren & Stimpy and Beavis & Butt-Head get reboots announced for Comedy Central
No one decried the Beavis and Butthead reboot because it wasn't created by a sexual predator who can't even complete his work on time.
hypocrisy? stupidity? pot calling the kettle nigger? 'rules for thee but not for me'? 'me want only what me likey and no eat my veggie till i get my milky?'
it depends on the reason WHY you think this double standard exists
Hulu had Animaniacs and HBO Max wanted a piece of that cake so we got Tiny Toons now.
At last Comedy Central was honest and just announced all the reboots and spin-offs right of the bat.
why would two different companies have a coordinated announcement for two different shows?
>How is this phenomenon called?
"Not understanding that the internet consists of many different people with different opinions"
It's called please please PLEASE get a life, OP
and this comment is called not understanding how statistics work
if literally no one complained about the latter, and everyone complained about the former, something aint right
why do shows keep rebooting old content, but doing away with so many things that made the old content likeable? who do they think its for anyway?
>sees new Animaniacs
Have confidence!
>sees Dot use the word "manslpain-y"
No confidence!
>if literally no one complained about the latter, and everyone complained about the former, something aint right
Not really
But anyhow yes OP, oopsie daisy people complained about the R&S reboot more because of the John K connection than because of an heartfelt distaste for reboots in general, cry me a damn river
Good thing that didn't happen then
When you hit around 21 your frontal lobe will expand and you'll have a proper sense of perspective and priorities
Until then enjoy being a histrionic little bitch
>How is this phenomenon called?
It's called learning proper english.
are you gonna explain why you think it 'literally just didnt happen'
or just go 'hohohoh youre child'
also people dont suddenly become smart immediately after turning 21. i know that cause ive passed it, but youve clearly just been hearing stories from the big grown ups
Cherry picking.
It's time for another Good Idea, Bad Idea.
>Good Idea
Rebooting cartoons from the 90s.
>Bad Idea
Rebooting cartoons from the 90s... for people who grew up in the 90s.
It's because the "right" people complained about Ren and Stimpy (people in the cartoon industry and whiny SJWs), so their voices were heard where the "wrong" people complained about the other shows being rebooted, so their voices weren't.
>Older than 21
>Mad about children's cartoons
>Can't tell the difference between "being smart" and having a proper sense of priorities
X - Doubt
First off everyone is pissed at Animaniacs & Tiny Toons' reboot because TMS got back stabbed and Telecom was raped and murdered as they were forced to do Tower of God & Shenmue:TAS against their will, TMS sued Warner Bros for property damage and they're still in court right now.
THE NORMIES HATE THEM!
Pic extremely related.
>No one decried the Beavis and Butthead reboot
Come on, pay attention to reality instead of just making up whatever in your head that would make your shit sound "good" to you. It's solipsism!
And this is cowardice. If you can't gauge how the animation community reacts to something, why call it a community? I think the inability to do so is self-imposed.
user were all autism here
Not even close.
Rhinoceritis.
Animaniacs and Ren & Stimpy is really a story of the choice of two different approaches to TV animation.
You can make a completely phony cartoon that tells you it's funny in the theme song, is constantly self-aware, name-drops Hollywood and talks about Steven Spielberg as if the writers know him or have even met him, and it all feeds into a fantasy of being really important animation celebrities. Even though the work isn't good enough to actually become celebrities.
Or, you can make a cartoon out of simple passion for cartooning - being someone who does it even when he's not getting paid. You can be someone who wants to raise the level of cartoons, doing things that only cartoons can do instead of trying to imitate other mediums. You can make a simple, unpretentious kid's cartoon that still has the capability to draw an adult audience - the first since the Flintstones and a few others. And ironically, you can turn out to bring in riches even if you aren't the one who shovels it into your bank account and actually become famous. John K has lots of fans even now - who can name a single animation writer who was on Animaniacs?
One does their announcement, another sees it's getting a lot of buzz and so they release their announcement early. Are there even commercials out for the Tiny Toons reboot?
Anyhow as far as Ren and Stimpy it has a lot of haters since John K has insulted the CalArts style where people there try too hard to copy whatever they see as popular.
>Who can name a single animation writer who was on Animaniacs?
Toshihiko Masuda. He was trained by Hayao Miyazaki himself before he left Telecom to work at TopCraft to do Nausicaa.
John didn't even make the cartoon when he was getting paid, which is why he was fired, and why his shitty Cans cartoon took 10 years to finish.
Not that I'd expect an autistic namefag to ever stop being retarded.
It's called fucking hating that hack that stole your money to make Cans Without Labels.
I wonder who could be behind this post.
>How is this phenomenon called?
Millenials in a nutshell.
This doesn't seem like an actual response to my post, more like your brain involuntarily spasmed the keyboard. Try taking up hiking to get over your neuroses.
>that for sure (check the grammar)
Hohoho
He hates Nippon Kaigi.
He hates what happen in Nanjing back in 1937.

>118677343
Both cringe.
Not Famicom, thats for sure (check the grammar).
(Typo fix).
