It's the difference between the Joker and a clown-themed serial killer, yes. Even fucking TDK Joker made jokes with all his "muh chaos" bullshit.

I legitimately wanted the three Jokers to be teaming up on Batman and his senpai, not just each one approaching him one at a time. Like, what a missed opportunity.

I didn't read it and plan to ignore it ever happened.

That's kind of his thing. He reduces your life/death to a punchline. Like you can live your whole life and then get killed by a handshake buzzer or an anvil falls on your head. It's humiliating, and that's the point, the Joker makes light of how you die.
