What do YOU think the Noodle Incident was, Zig Forums?
Give me Calvin memes.
mommy and daddy didn't give him enough attention
Calvin put worms in the cafeteria noodles and a bunch of kids got sick, so someone called 9/11.
It has to have been something particularly bad, and something that would carry legitimate repercussions. Remember, Calvin is not exactly reluctant to brag about his exploits. If this is something so bad that even HE has to lie about it and deny it, it's gotta be legendary.
I think the noodle incident was a simple and brilliant bit of writing where the author knew that the less he explained it, the funnier it was.
Bill Watterson literally said as much in the tenth anniversary book. The same thing applies to that book Calvin likes to hear before bedtime, "Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey." That's why we never learn its exact plot.
To quote Watterson:
>Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey--like the Noodle Incident, referred to in several strips--is left to the reader's imagination, where it's sure to be more hilarious.
Gorillaz crossover.
What is yer offer?
shit meme
I think both of these are accurate
Reminder that Calvin's dad made a story too Calvin for Calvin.
As I have gone to graduate school this has gradually become my favorite Calvin & Hobbes strip.
Make your own.
This strip is one of my favorites.
I used to share this with my high school lit teachers.
Feels strange Calvin and Hibbes never got an animated series
Based egoist mom with no morals.
I've always assumed it had something to do with his transmogrified duplicates.
>mom
Why was he so fuckable?
Mom?
>the less he explained it, the funnier it was
It is an effective trick used by many other authors too.
>furfag forces their shit into a random thread
yes most authors do it holy shit you faggot
That was very much by design. Watterson thought about it but realized that he didn't want Calvin to have a defined voice, that he wanted the reader to supply their own. That and he hated merchandising and probably saw an animation as a vehicle to sell shit.
I thik it was Hobbes he didn't want a defined voice for. Calvin, after all, we all know is a child; but what does Hobbes sound like?
