"Love Like You" is actually Rose admitting to all the gems that she never really loved them. To her they were mostly just curiosities or kept around for their usefulness. Through Steven Rose hoped to ignite that spark of genuine emotion that had eluded her for thousands of years. It's quite a depressing song in that sense.

Nope.
She loved everyone, knew everything and was right all along.

I thought it was more her inability to love herself stopped her from truly loving others, as the gap between how she saw herself and others saw her was unable to be reconciled. Which is, ironically (or perhaps not) exactly what almost did her son in.

The somg was written first as foreshadowing the Pink reveal which was the main scripted plan for the whole show.

But the finished version was made more generic. With only a few exceptions any character in the show could sing it and its relevant to them.

That said she did love them. She just never took anyone or anything seriously until Greg confronted her wanting to be an equal.

“Learn to love like you” isn’t “learn to love because I can’t”. Its “learn to love the way that you do”.
Pink loved Pearl as an equal, but never treated her that way and Pearl’s unhealthy fantasy still kept herself as a self-sacrificing servant despite not being property anymore. Garnet saw Pink the same way Pink saw her, as an inspiration, but Garnet hero-worshipped her as basically her loving creator while Pink saw her as just a friend and ally.
Pink tried to be everything for Amethyst that nobody was for her, but as implied in the show and confirmed in the artbook she accidentally also put her insecurities and bad behavior in her as well; like any flawed parent.

Its not just Pink’s song, but she is the best suited for it. The question is if she’s singing it to one person, or everyone? If she can love Pearl like Ruby and Sapphire love each other? To see the world with fresh eyes like Amethyst? To be as honest and self-sacrificing as Pearl? Hoping she can be a better person with Greg? Hell, even hoping that she’ll be like Steven if she ever returns. You could almost imagine a duet with young Steven singing it to her portrait while she sings from within him towards his trust and honesty.

The artbook did what?

God, bet Steven hatefucked them

She’s gone

Gone where?

No, she just shapeshifted into Steven's life support

>No, she just shapeshifted into Steven's life support
Did she forgot everything?

SHES GOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNEEEEEE

Nah, the whole of that episode was it was just as weird for them to meet him as Steven did with them. They probably just awkwardly started, but got to properly fuck and enjoy themselves by the end.

I hate how much they demonized Rose as the series went on.

We just saw her redemption in reverse.

For the most part, I think it was less "demonize" and more "demystify" the legend that was Rose/Pink. The fact that Rose never gets another speaking line after her reveal as Pink pisses me off, though. What a waste of such an interesting character.

Rose is Loki.
The cause for everything.
In Norse Mythology Loki is both the cause of everything bad and good happened to the Aesirs.
Loki was the reason for Thor's hammer to be made.
Loki was the reason for the sickness of the men to be created as he birthed Hel.
Loki was the reason for Sleipnir to be Odin's steed as he birthed him too.
Loki was the reason for the end of the world.
Rose, in the SUverse is both the cause of everything bad and good happened to the gems and humans.
Rose was the reason for earth to be safe.
Rose was the reason for earth being in danger.
Rose was the reason for the first war between gems and gems to happen.
Rose was the reason for the peace between the Diamonds and the common gems as she birthed the Messiah of humans and gems.

I wish I had the relatedguy pic

I disagree

Love Like You was about the gems wanting to be more like humans.

Rebecca has confirmed this multiple times. It's in the new art book

who?

"Love me like you"

It's Rose admitting to the gems how much she hates herself and can't understand how they all see her as being so great.

For me it's Hippie

Need a fat edit

why bother? humans in SU are just watered down versions of the real thing with all the interesting aspects removed. theyre just gems without the powers.

"Love Like You" is Rose's song for Steven. Ideally if the show returned, Rose would serenade Steven before sacrificing herself.

>theyre just gems without the powers.
are they?

How would the Gems react to Steven dating one of the Rose Quartzes?

>Rose admitting to all the gems that she never really loved them
Is this why Rose never even attempted to heal shattered gems even though Yellow taught us it's really easy

Its where they talk about axed episodes. Amethyst’s arc regarding Single Pale Rose was one of them, realizing Pink tried to support her but inadvertently caused her self-esteem issues by passing on her own. That causes Amethyst to come to the level of acceptance we see in Future.

Here’s from the episode timeline saying it too, but in less words.

She’s buried inside him like Pearl’s interior selves. But she did pass him several memories and a non-memory vision when she saw it was time to reveal who she is.

The world getting better after the end relies on Loki killing Baldur so he can sweet talk Hel and become Jesus in the final incarnation of Earth.

So who is Baldur?

Stevonnie.
The first fusion between a gem and a human.

I can see Yellow saying “Looks like Pink finally learned to love herself!” and laughing for way too long as everyone else stares at her mortified.

Everyone in that pic is fat

D&D rules.

Short lifespan but an instinct towards cooperation causes ambition without becoming just violent savages, causing humans to fill all niches and both support/challenge all aspects of life.

No, its because she didn’t know she could.

No Gem healed until Pink discovered she could. But she also didn’t explore all possibilities, like her saliva being able to partially reverse Corruption despite all the time she spent trying to heal them.

But either Hessonite or Jasper would be Hel, and Stevonnie didn’t die nor did they interact with either of them.

Eh, maybe if he knocks them up the Diamonds could have a Pink looking grandkid

Jasper is the Hel as she unleashed war.
Stevonnie is what will be born from Steven and Connie finally meeting again.
Stevonnie will create the age of peace and love between the rebel gems.
