I wish they hadn't made Steelbeak a retard. What they did to him and Doofus is character assasination.

Steelbeak I can agree with... but Doofus? Do you think the original was actually a good character? Cause even as a kid, I thought he was superfluous and annoying.

So the answer was to make him more insufferable? They had a chance to improve him, not make him worse. They certainly had no problem doing that with Bubba, who was also superfluous and annoying in the original.

The reboot version at least makes me laugh, despite being insufferable. Otherwise, no, I don't think it's necessarily an improvement. But it's also not the "assassination" you make it out to be.
