Lets see if I don't fuck it up this time... Anybody bought anything spooky for halloween? I'll be reading some of the Vampirella archives tomorrow
> Don't know where to buy? Try these: amazon.com/ (known to manhandle books with bad packaging) instocktrades.com/ (worldwide shipping, often has sales) mycomicshop.com (worldwide shipping) cheapgraphicnovels.com/ ebay.com/ alibris.com/ (Amazon alternative, it doesn't have the usual fees, it ships worldwide and accepts PayPal) [your local comic shop here]
>Anybody bought anything spooky for halloween? prices for stuff has ballooned up in Canada, so no. The Baker Plastic Man HC is $90 up here, and that's just 20 issues
Charles Davis
Yeah prices are also going up over here. Specially for new releases. Older stuff you can still find for cover price

>Living in a world where seven omni's of Conan exist with even more to come
Connor Sanchez

>Anybody bought anything spooky for halloween? Bought this. Just ordered the first 3 criminal tpbs and deluxe vol 2 for a total of £40. Pre-ordered vol 3 deluxe too. And I'll pick up vol 1 when it's reprinted.
Just read the first 2 trades (pirated) and they were enough to make me buy it.
It's been on my list of "to read" for years but just never got round to it.
Original bag. It is ghost rider's skull and flames, the sticker on the bottom corner is part of the bag.

Honestly I don't know. I read Frankenstein before I knew who Ito was and loved it and read uzumaki and Gyo and one of his collected tales books that featured a travelling haunted house owned by a guy and I guess his family.
It only took a month but it’s here at last. I’m about eight issues in and so far it seems better than v3 in terms of story. I’m sorry to see that this is the last volume with issues by Roy Thomas. For all his faults he understood Sword and Sorcery. I’m not sure we can depend on that from the dudes who follow.
They have a cheap hardback I want but not cheap enough I want to risk poor packaging.
William Thomas
They ship inthe same hard "boxes" Bookdepository uses. Never had a problem with them tho, all books came in good condition

Meant to say, I love clinical shelves like op (no offence intended) but I'd rather get as much bang for my buck so I just pick and mix based on price. I.e bought book 5 of johns' flash because it was cheaper than finishing the tpb run as the last couple were more expensive.
Cheers lad. I think I'll go for it.
Juan Powell
Haven't been going too crazy lately, so this is everything interesting from the last odd month.
Also as an aside, might be worth making a couple of changes. Kinokuniya are actually pretty great when it comes to packing now while Booktopia have actually become inconsistent as hell. You'll still sometimes get things in bubblewrap and the old green/white boxes whereas other times you'll just get things thrown into an ill-fitting box with a fucking rubber band around them,
Not sure if there are much Wagner/Grant fans here but Hibernia comics have just released a limited amount of house of Daemon a pretty neat little spooky number just in time for Halloween, although by the time it's delivered it will be nearer Yankees turkey day.
Misty/scream >What are your Halloween plans Not a lot. Probably watch cheesy Halloween movies with the kid (we watched both scooby doo live actions and the corpse bride this week already).
No real spooky books planned outside of Tomie and I've nearly finished it already.
>Black Hole I just picked up the Last Look trilogy by Burns, it's awesome. Same mix of spooky and melancholy as Black Hole but with a heavy David Lynch influence. Plus it's in color and looks fantastic.

Ooh I gotta check it out. Always wanted to read more of him but I’ve only read Black Hole and some small things. And his segment in Comic Book Confidential
