AHHHHH HELP ME AVATAR STATE
AHHHHH HELP ME AVATAR STATE
>AHHH HELP ME THING THAT HELPS AVATARS WHEN THEY'RE IN DANGER WHICH AS A CONCEPT EXISTED SINCE THE FIRST EPISODE
>the real hero of ATLA was a random rock on the floor
best cartoon my ass
JUST KILL OZAI YOU COWARD
he blew his shot at killing ozai, got chucked off the cliff and then stopped fighting and hid like a coward in a rock ball. he would have literally died there if not for that pointy rock
is getting jabbed by a rock while covered in a rock bubble and right up against a rock pillar really the biggest stretch of imagination your brain has ever had to do for a story
What else could they have done though honestly. They wrote themselves into a corner after book 2. You can't give Aang his avatar state back straight away otherwise he's OP, and you can't have him unlock his chakras again because it was a physical issue. As stupid as it is, a rock hitting his back in just the right spot makes as much sense as anything else they could've pulled at that point.
I haven't watched Avatar for a few years, but holy fuck, did that look bad storywise.
He could have defeated him without the Avatar state.
No, but I did feel disappointed.
True, but there's no way they weren't going to make that fight as epic as possible.
isn't that the equivalent of Mr Incredible getting chiropractor'd into beating the 1st model?
Was Avatar the cartoon that started the trend of three-season cartoons having their third season be the worst? I feel like this has become almost a pattern. Tons of cartoons with three seasons now have the quality of their seasons basically look like this.
Season 2 > Season 1 > Season 3
And it feels like Avatar was the first cartoon to be like this, or one of the first.
Book 1 vs Book 3 is tough for me. I think the average quality of episode is higher in book 3, but book 1 feels better/more cohesive overall.
Book 1 also has the superior finale. Siege Of The North is so fucking good.
so fucking retarded
B3 makes B1 look like complete shit, there's a reason why B1 is the one normies struggle getting through meanwhile B3 is the hypest shit.
hey man, I don't deny book 3 has way more hype moments than book 1. But that goes with the territory of being the last in a trilogy. The reason I rate book 1 over book 3 is because I think book 1 does a better job at being the first season than book 3 does being the last.
Also this.
Rewatching after all these years, I was surprised at how much they fit into the few episodes that they did, but I don’t think that it was to its benefit. The finale rushed, though I would rate it higher as a coherent piece of writing than the Season 3 one.
You guys greatly exaggerate how bad season 3 is and I don’t get it
90% of people would disagree with, especially those not on this site. B1 was a real slog so many episodes are just... not good. I have never seen anyone talk about the panda spirit ever for example. And in regards to the finale, worst one in ATLA too with Yue probably being the worst plot point in the whole show. Zhao may as well not never have existed the way fans forget about him too. B3 finale extremely underrated here everywhere else thought it was the perfect close with a lot of great memorable moments.
Nearly all of the most memorable and visually beautiful scenes took place in book 3
Book 2 is more consistent but it’s not as memorable to me as book 3 was
I've just watched this series for the first time, what's with the sudden influx of Avatar threads on Zig Forums lately?
Contrarians can't help it. They have nothing better to do. Could be bitching about finales that actually deserved to be bitched about.
It got readded to netflix even though that's happened many times already.
Oh, I've just finished watching the last episode on Stan.. pretty good series after all, I never got into it as a kid
I don't give a fuck how many people disagree with it, this is just my opinion. Get that appealing to popularity shit outta my face.
It’s never been on US Netflix before, and this board is primarily American from my observation
It comes and goes in cycles. For the last few weeks there weren’t that many avatar threads.
>meanwhile B3 is the hypest shit
Theres nothing that great in B3
I distinctly remember in 2013 every Viacom property expired from Netflix and were added again a while later. It's like clockwork.
I don’t remember avatar ever being on Netflix before and this is the first I’ve heard of it
