You can't really use him in comics because his schtick is musicals and that doesn't really lend itself well to a format without audio. And the truth of it is, he's campy as all hell. Don't get me wrong, he's fun and entertaining but he was born in the world of Brave and the Bold, so he'll only ever really work in similar places. The reason he didn't work on CW was because they went the young adult musical path those kinds of shows are known for, not the over the top, hammy production MM really thrives in.

I'm really worried about Falcon and Winter Soldier. I feel Marvel is only going to squander and waste him both as a character as well as wasting Russell in the process. I mean, that IS his role as a government sanctioned Cap replacement. And thus far word is that his super soldier serum might have some instability involved. Sounds like they're making him dutiful, as a soldier should be, while leaving him an out for when he is ultimately made to attack Sam and Bucky and be defeated by them. Or maybe we'll have an epic team up at the end.

My personal desire would be a book called USAgents, which has him saddled with a team of copycats that's a straight up diversity squad. The book itself is one part 80s war b-movie and one part GI Joe (if everyone shared the same codename and outfit), while also being an examination of conservative intersectionality and right-wing politics among minorities.
