Hard work, talent, passion, among other things I'm sure.

>grew up a 'How To Train Your Dragon Kid'
>remember memes making fun of Kung Fu Panda
>comparing it to 'Mists of Pandaria' from WoW
>finally watched it 10-years later
>one of the best animated films I've seen, period.
I truly fucked myself being a dragon fag growing up, what a fantastic film Kung Fu Panda is

The second movie. It struck a perfect balance between serious and hilarious. That dumb scene with Po delivering his speech and nobody being able to understand it still cracks me up every time.

this
also the chinese genuinely love their culture and things made in respect to em so they ate it up
the idea that anything culturally inspired is always offensive even if made with love is a strictly ameritrash opinion

Can't stand Jack Black, the supporting cast is bland as shit despite how expensive the voice actors are and I hate the message about the teacher bending to the student's quirks, the key to success should rely on hard work and sticking to fundamentals, not that snowflacke nonsense.
Otherwise, a decent Jackie Chan spoof but far from being the modern classic many people claim to be.

Everyone has a natural talent that should be fostered and encouraged. Someone who is good at sprinting shouldn't be forced into being a kickboxer, despite both requiring the use of the legs, for example. I can understand your other grievances but the sign of a good teacher is knowing how to bring out the best in one's students, not being able to force all students into one mold.

>Can't stand Jack Black
Well, thanks for letting us know you're a huge fag, user.

Basics come FIRST, then you natural talents can shine through, only lazy egomaniacs and soccermoms who think their sweetheart can do no wrong hold that "I'm not wrong, you are" mindset.
Never stood his second rate John Belusi shtick while copying Jim Carrey's overreactions and his anti authoritarian role in most of his comedies are kinda cringe.

>all hail mao
>America fat

They shit the bed with KFP3 though

still don't get how the fat panda movie managed to have some of the best fight scenes in western animation

what

First movie was fun and well made. Didn't care for the sequels. They felt ordinary

>25 August 2003
Finally found some footage of the lost scene in which Lino talks with that orca about Lenny being an outcast. So happy right now. Vimeo is a great source for lost footage

Link, Please?

Three good and well acted villains, strong chemistry among the cast, good score and solid fight choreography

The first two movies went well, because the writers respected Chinese culture as best as they could while bringing their own writing talent.
The third movie was dogshit because it was a collaboration with the Chinese that needed to be approved by the CCP. So you got nonsense that was virtually impossible to follow up on. Killed the film franchise dead.

S O U L

The snake obviously had a crush on Tigress.

It's not much footage, but it's something

>trailers make it look like generic funny animal cartoon #7452
>is actually one of the best animated movies of the 2000s

>Animator on Asterix films, Fievel Goes West, Ferngully, A Goofy Movie, Iron Giant, etc
>Storyboard artist on cartoons like Arthur, Little Lulu Show, What's with Andy ?, etc
It's such a shame how El Dorado and Shark Tale are the only western films directed by Bibo Bergeron. He was a talented guy. Look at his tumblr blog.

>Late 2000s ? Sure. The entire decade ? Not a chance. Let's not push it

>Basics come FIRST, then you natural talents can shine through
Didn't the cookie scene prove just that?

Also, the entire message of the movie? "There is no secret ingredient"

>It struck a perfect balance between serious and hilarious
No it fucking didn't, it was a bleakfest that made me forget I was watching a movie about a fat panda

Agreed. The tone was all over the place. Doesn't help the jokes were pretty unfunny

If you didn't crack a smile at Po's failed attempt to throw his hat climactically, I don't know what to tell you.

No forced shipping even though they were teasing it.

The fist movie was the good kind of nostalgia bait that also worked for children but the sequels got worse with every movie.

Panda 2 reminds me of the prequel trilogy. All of the elements for a great film are there... but it just doesn't come together in the end. It needed stronger writing and better pacing ( 80 mins is too short )

If you say so. I thought it was a masterpiece up there with the first HTTYD movie. Gave me hope that Dreamworks would give the industry a kick in the pants and improve.

Then HTTYD 2-3 and KFP3 shat the bed, with tripe like Boss Baby and Trolls rolling around in it.
