As an guy who watches isekai anime, I can say with 100% seriousness that KonoSuba has better horror elements then Owl House.

One reason might be because GF marketed itself as mystery-sitcom, not as horror-comedy.

Because Gravity Falls had actual good horror elements and doesn't fall into the pit falls Owl House does.

A mix between Lighting, no white eyes and actually trying.

Meanwhile, Amphibia manages to have great splashes of dark humor from the fact the world is so dangerous and the locals accept it as a normal everyday thing.
